Sad about forgetting your friends birthdays? The birthday BirthdayReminder allows you to simply store a list of birthdays. The list shows the names and the remaining days of each entry and sort them by the remaining days.
Version 1.1
improved CSS for Opera 9.62
Version 1.2
added import/export feature for your stored birthdays
Important for users with a previous installed version: ----------------------------------------------------------- There is no import feature for your stored birthdays from a previous version. The following steps explain how to import the stored birthdays by hand. First install the new version of BirthdayReminder. Save an example birthday with a uniqe name i.e. "FindMe". Close Opera and go to your "profile/widgets" directory of your opera browser and open the widgets.dat file with an text editor.
Search for the following lines: <value id="key #0" xml:space="preserve">Birthdays</value>
You should find two of them, one in the <section> of your old BirthdayReminder, and another in the <section> of your new one.
In the <section> of your old BirthdayReminder should be a <value> like this: <value id="val #0" xml:space="preserve">Mom,1968.11.23;Dad,1961.09.18;</value>
In the <section> of your new BirthdayReminder should be a <value> containing the "FindMe" name: <value id="val #0" xml:space="preserve">FindMe,YYYY.MM.DD;</value>
Just replace these <value> line of your new BirthdayReminder with that one of your old. Save the file and close it. In Opera start the new BirthdayReminder Widget, it should now show all your stored Birthdays. After that you can delete your old BirthdayReminder Widget.
If you remove/update this widget, all stored birthdays will be lost!
HowTo Start this (and other) widget when Opera starts? Open the webpage you wanna open on startup, open all widget you wanna open on startup, goto file->sessions->save this session... Enter a name and check the checkbox for Opera startup, thats all. Next time starting Opera the whole session including widgets is loaded.
