You want to know how many unread messages you have in your Gmail mailbox? You have more than one Gmail account?
multiGmail is the answer!
This little widget will check for you all your Gmail mailboxes!
Of course it'll work great even if you have just one account!
NEW Feature: Now you can check Gmail labels!!!
Changelog: 1.5: - a stupid typo prevented inbox from opening - solved 1.3: - now can check Gmail LABELS! - Solved another small bug with red bubble. 1.2: solved a small problem with red bubble image 1.1: - many bugs solved, even a serious one where the widget would report incorrect data! - clicking on account name will open that account's page in Opera!
Great widget. Unfortunately, it hasn't been updated in a while. I use the SSL always-on gmail feature which is not supported by the widget, so I changed the URLs from http to https to allow connection to SSL always-on accounts, and since gmail supports SSL for all accounts, it works for all accounts.
If interested, my editted widget can be found here.
this is sweet! but can it be used to check gmail-managed domains? i have @gmail accounts and @cagedparrot accounts, but i'm getting 'generic error' on the @cagedparrot.
31 unread in the inbox and the widget displays a zero ? what, it only counts mail from the time it's launched? i guess thats handy for people that keep their browser open at all times. lame..
When I finish Opera while starting multiGmail and reboot Opera, multiGmail continues checking Gmail straight. It functions to boil normal if I reboot multiGmail. Cannot you fix this bug?
Hi, One of the main reasons for me not leaving firefox for other browsers was the gmail checking add-on it offers. Now you have made it easier for me. The widget works nicely. I have a request, If you can add support for Google hosted domain emails also (like me@me.com but hosted on Gmail), it would be great and make this complete.
A couple of things. Is there any way to edit the gmail accounts once you've initially set it up? Also, it would be nice to give a name to the displayed account rather than the email address. If you have several email addresses all starting the same then the characters displayed may all look identical.
If interested, my editted widget can be found here.

Is there a way to get this widget to refresh all by itself, every X minutes ?
Thanks in advance

I've just switched to GMail, got it working fine with my beloved Opera and your widget is the icing on the cake ...
Thanks

Very useful though!

You need opera 9.5 beta to use this. Maybe some code tweaks may help to run in on opera 9.25
