Another 2d ruler.

Shortcuts:
- arrows: move right and botom border
- ctrl arrows: move left top border

Nice and usable Widget.

No fixes for Opera 10 Alpha?

This is a really cool widget... would be awesome if it could support adding guidelines to it. For example, I try to map how my web pages behave cross browser so I select the area with this widget then with guidelines verify changes in display so I can create better javascript fixes for the pages to look the same in all browser... specially in IE.

Great, thanks for the ruler.

It's a Great gadjet "thepest"... and it measuring "pixels"
<=== the picture on the left measures 60/60 pixels

Possible to display diagonal distance between corners?

By tinhoy , # Jul 14, 2008 7:23:16 PM

um.
very cool and I find it very useful but just one minor issue.
what units is it measuring?

pixels, cm, picas, ems, points?

I'm guessing pixels, but should I have to?

Fixed and working again under 9.50 beta, build 9981.
Much appreciated.

Great ruler, but broken under 9.50 beta, build 9864.
Hope it's fixable...

I see that you are implementing your own double-click capture. You should use the built in ondblclick event:

A very nice widget.
My only strife with it is that I don't like the choice of cursorp:ointer; this makes me think that the item below will activate with one click, a double click is such a secondary function that I don't expect it to influence the cursor.

Thanx.

Better than a simple ruler-on-the-screen.

Great application concept !

Suped-duper!

Very handy! Thanks!

By Demonstro , # Aug 8, 2007 1:57:35 PM

Agreed, very nice.
The size is a bit big, which prevents it from reaching the edges in e.g. GNOME, but otherwise really cool.
