Unfortunately there is no easy way to login in a clean way with the Twitter API, simply using XMLHttpRequest. which means that there can be problems sometimes. I've never had problems with it myself, but I know people that simply couldn't login, and then some minutes later it just works. We'll look into it, and see if we can fix this somehow.
Same login issue, regardless of page-login status. There's a slight chance it's just to do with the site's apparently slow updating, but issuing a logout should clear the flag regardless.

Can login fine via the twitter page though.
Are there any cookie settings that might be affecting this?
