My opinion is, that this is really best widget to opera.

New version. Some small visible changes, and some large changes under the hood.

Hey guys.

A new version is out. The biggest change is that the password now is stored.

Thanks for all the feedback. Looks like I'll have to fix the remember-login stuff. I initially did not want that as it's insecure to save the credentials in plain text.
I'll look into it as soon as I get the time.

Widget is great but great inconvenience is that it didn't remember login info. Great look but useless for me... until login will be improved.

By MINUS8, # Oct 1, 2007 10:14:26 PM

It would be awesome if it remembered the username of the last person who signed in, so it could display their activity using their public profile before signing in.

It's posted above that the login issues have been sorted, yet I've just downloaded the widget and I can't seem to log in. I've tried several times throughout the day and I'm completely logged out of the main Twitter site. I've even cleared cookies.

This seems to be a helpful widget, but it seems it doesn't want me to use it. Any helpful tips from those who have overcome the issues?

New version. Active tab is now remembered between sessions. Also, some minor styling changes, and some changes under the hood.

Some guy/gal suggested to 'SING IN' I can not sing so how do I get in?

By Omaghlad, # Aug 26, 2007 0:21:20 AM

@hzr: it is ok, for now. But eventually you'll join the dark side. :D
Just kiddin' I think this is a real good widget, I've been trying all sorts of ways to have a portable app for twitter. And now with this I have a widget in my portable version of Opera (MarcOpera4usb version, I MUST add).
Thank you very much for taking time and answer.

Keep up the great work

@helas: thanks for the critique. I've also noticed the padding stuff. It is now on the todo list, and will be fixed for the next release.
I'm not sure I agree about the "What are you doing?" field on the Follow tab though. I hope it's ok anyway

By hzr, # Aug 14, 2007 9:46:30 PM

what I'd like, if I may say it here, is to have the "what are you doing" baloon even when one's on "Follow", maybe a smaller one.
I'm so glad I found this, anyway: up until now I had twitter in a webpanel and wasn't really happy with it.
(Maybe a bit more of space between text and scroll bar would be nice.)

Great Job. thank you so much.

@xuoroux: we decided not to, as we don't want to save the password in cleartext on the computer.

By hzr, # Aug 12, 2007 3:09:16 PM

so far so good! except that... can't it remember my password? :S

The login stuff seems to be sorted out. Now if I could only minimize it to tray I'd be in twitter heaven. I like it, so far...

By stormwulf, # Aug 2, 2007 1:52:19 AM

Hey.

The login stuff is probably sorted now. Let us know if there are more problems related to this.
