Neon Degree Clock, Opera application V2.0 Jul 19, 2007 6:25:50 AM

A clock that gives time in degrees. 15 degrees to an hour, 360 degrees to a day. 0 degrees equals midnight. The outer dial shows degrees, the middle dial shows angular minutes (60 to a degree), and the inner dial shows angular seconds (60 to an angular minute).
I don't think anybody tells time this way, but I think it looks nice anyway. The color scheme was supposed to be neon-inspired, but it ended up with more of a tropical-fruit look.

Would like to be able to have the 0 degree be at mid day, is there a way to change script to do that, as the actual location of the Sun would also be the degree time.........

would also like the clock to run on my computer, as we have a local radio station and are in process of switching to degree time , how would we embed the clock onto our desk top , that programmers could easily see / say the degree time thanks

Have mentioned the degree clock in the blog of the Two Hands Approach to the English Language over here: http://twohandsapproach.org/pmachine/weblog.php?id=P237

Can I post an image of your clock or direct link to it to this page?

Cheers from South Korea.

New version. I've added a display-on-hover option, as well as an option to rotate the dial to put GMT midnight at the bottom (the arcs still originate from local time).

I'll keep those ideas in mind. Thanks for the feed-back!

yeah, good concept, but hard to tell time - a switch is needed between the modes of the degree time and normal time displays.

Interesting way to tell time. Would it be possible to toggle off the numeric display (maybe even display on hover?)
