Yep the close button really sucks. More controls would be nice, and it doesn`t chew up my cpu.

Yes, the animation chews up a lot of cpu on my computer. Having it controllable would be nice.

Is it possible not to have the close button?

It isn't beautiful, maybe it could auto-hide when we stop hovering the mouse over?
