time to remove the ' is ' from the widget code now. it's in ui.js
no more 'is is'

this widget won't work for me. it says "logging in" and then times out. but, it never givevs me the option of actually typing in my u/n or p/w. thoughts?

haayleyy: You need to login to facebook using the special popup that the widget gives you (by clicking the button), logging directly through a web browser does not work.

This gadget does not work for me - it tells me to login using the widget, but I'm already logged into Facebook. I logged out of facebook and hit the 'login' button the widget and it still does not work.. I'd really like it to work, so any ideas to fix it?

How come this widget is not possible to move to a second screen. All other widgets I have tried can be moved to my other screen without any problems.

Nice idea. Some feedback:

List view is quite nice (now I've realised that you click each status to reveal more).
Detailed view scrolls a long long way down. Is there a nicer way to implement this?
Thumbnail view seems pointless at the minute.

FWIW, I'm using Ubuntu (Linux) and it works fine. No problems with transparent backgrounds.

Geeky CEOs and they don't have a HTTPS login page ?
For some reason <https://login.facebook.com/login.php> works but the widget's <https://www.facebook.com/login.php?v=1.0&next=proxy.php&api_key=27c869b9f832dd097aea57204ca1e880&auth_token=c112162026a22a07be59cb6167e25521&popup=1> doesn't

the Killer widget! Even more useful than the clock

Looking forward to see this on Opera 9 Mobile, maybe even connected to mobile operators location-based services. Nice to see which friends are near (and where) when going downtown
