Fun Lava Lamp.

This is a fun lava lamp that you can leave on your desktop! It is a direct response to a widget request that was made here..

i downloaded it... but i dont see it anywhere.. just have the little window on the bottom tool bar... anyone knows whats up with that?

It would be great on a PC that's not a MAC. I can't get it to work my PC running VIsta but the MACs at school work fine. Fix it or delete it.

I would really dig this widget,If it worked. I downloaded two L.L. and did the upgrade. I now have 4 lava lamps and they are all the same colors. I configured the colors but they never take effect. I agree that it needs to be bigger to get a good effect but this mini does'nt change colors. Oh well,it was a good idea & I still have them?

By dj2dxdream , # Feb 16, 2009 12:01:01 PM

NEEDS LOTS OF DIFFERENT KIND COLORS. MAYBE SOME THAT WILL CHANGE EVERYDAY.
I THINK THAT IT IS PRETTY COOL. COULD COME IN DIFFERNT SIZES.

koolj90,

I do not agree with you. Its the widget. Any widget that performs slowly on a 512 MB RAM system is a resource hog and not acceptable. Also, his computer is NOT obsolete, as it is still usable and functional. I would not say you are "bursting his bubble". I would say you are prejudiced against people with older computers. That being the case, why don't you pick on me?

I have a Pentium III with 128 MB Rambus [not RAM], Windows 2000 Pro, with a secondary OS known as Xubuntu.

It's good, but too small !

By Jon_Dann , # Apr 26, 2008 6:40:23 AM

rriverstone its not the widget its your computer. Pentium II 448mhz???? dude...thats extreamly outdated and obsilete (sry to burst your bubble lol).

I can't right click on it, either. I can't change colors. I can't use the /-/+ functions. I can't exit, once the color change menu is up. I can't do ANYTHING else on my computer once the lava light color menu comes up. In fact, it's even difficult to get task manager to load, so I can tell the dang thing to stop! I'm on Windows XP Home Edition 2002, Pentium II, 448 MHz, 512 MB RAM. I've tried 3xs; now, I give up.

By rriverstone , # Jan 26, 2008 12:44:06 AM

Groovy. Some of the colors are too light, though.

This is cool. My only complaint (and, really, it's a small one) is the blobs don't act quite like I'd expect them to. But they're darn close.

The updated colors are dead cool!! Life is good.

Thanks for the feedback Benjamin Joffe. I am working on adding a close button to the widget. However, it closes perfectly fine with the right-click menu for me.
