Use Google to translate text directly in the widget or translate a webpage.
Google Translator uses a theme based off of Gmail's theme! You can use this widget to convert excerpts of text and entire web pages to and from multiple languages.
Please take note of the following: * This widget will translate only the languages that can be translated by Google's own translation service. Language options will be updated as Google adds more language translation options to their service.
it doesn't work for me (opera 9.64) every time i want to use it, i write my text, clic on the translate button, and nothing happend ... :/ it's the same with the last beta version. an idea why ?
Very very nice work! It tranlates even what is absent in google's dropdown menu. Is it possible to improve a transcription, when item is the word? Google Translate includes it in the translation now.
1) Please add the feature - resize the widget window (if it's possible). Textareas is too small. 2) Please add the link to widget homepage, as it was in early versions.
@rnrgal I think it should be possible to set the languages based on auto-detect. I'll see what I can do.
@Everyone To those requesting a way to resize the widget for a larger writing space, please be patient. It's a little more work than it may appear to be.
But I would like a way to resize it, the only way that I thought was using the zoom, but that does not solve my problem because the fonts size are also increased.
I would like to suggest that when you use the Dectect Language feature the widget would not only translate but identify what language it is, if that is possible. I know the widget works from Google translation service so if it doesn't do that you can't make the widget do it, but I thought I'd throw it out there FWIW. Thanks.
I just wanted to point out a way that users can increase and decrease the size of any widget. If your mouse allows you to change settings to give your scroll wheel/center button zoom functionality, you can use the zoom to resize the widget to your preference.
I just published Google Translator v2.3 and it should be available as soon as it is approved. To see what's new, check out the changlog (linked to above).

Request #1:
That feature is on it's way. Please read the posted comment immediately below yours.
Request #2:
I'll see what I can come up with, I'm working towards making it as uncluttered as possible, but maybe I can work it in there some way.

My 2 offers:
1) Please add the feature - resize the widget window (if it's possible). Textareas is too small.
2) Please add the link to widget homepage, as it was in early versions.
Thanks.

BTW, a shortcut key to "Translate" will be fine.
