The best widget has just become better Thanks a lot!
As I tried to transfer the data from the old version (about 100 events) I suffered some problems: Each time the data should have been written to widgets.dat, Opera crashed. This was a problem appearing with the old T&D-version as well when creating multiple events. I am quite sure that this is a Opera (v9.21) bug and I would not write it here if I could not present a solution:
For me it worked to delete all the (unused) widget stuff which Opera seems neither to delete from widgets.dat nor from widgets.adr nor the widgets subdirectory. After reinstalling Time & Date the import worked fine (as it always did) and data was saved correctly to widgets.dat.
btw: A try to do the data import directly in the widgets.dat did not work - somehow T&D remembered the correct number of events even though I changed "eventcount" and "number of saved values".
@rkm: Specially thank you for putting the day/week-view on the todo-list
It's long overdue, but at least now an updated version is here.
@barbarella: I don't know why T&D didn't work for you for some days. Please contact me if it happens again.
@md_oper: If you could assist me with the translation, I would be happy to include russian language in the widget. Look here if you want to help with the translation.
Muy bueno solo que es muy pesado en grafica.. creo que se necesitan 512 MB como minimo para que funcione bien .. lo bueno es que aprecen muchos paiese.. como chile
rkm I ignored the error. But I do not know why T&D didn't work for few days. Is it related to that error? I did receive it every time even if T&D did not work. I love your T&D. Waiting for updates.
@barbarella and Ivee: I'm aware of the error. It happened because of some changes to the myopera.com servers. It's no big deal (you won't lose any data) - it's just that checking for updates doesn't work atm.
@marpos: Thank you very much for the language file! I'll add it in a new version that hopefully will be released within a few days.
@BurninLeo: I'll see if I can get the events sorted by the time of day to the next version. A week-view or something is also a good idea, but that's a bit more work, so it might have to wait a little.
@pptort: Would it be possible for you to send me a list of holidays for Uruguay with the date and the name of the holiday in spanish and english? If you could do that, I could've included Uruguay as well. Just tell me which of the holidays fall on the same date every year, and if possible give me the dates of the other holidays for at least the next two-three years.
@rslite: A fuzzy clock in english would be simple. I'll see if I can add that in the next version. But I would need help with the translations, so that will have to wait a little.
I get an error also.. an error occured when trying to retrievw data from http:/files.muopera.com/rkm/timeanddate/version.txt?rnd=Mon,23 Jul 2007 16:54:00 GMT-0500
Thank you very much for this widget. Finally someone did it! There are many good widgets - nice, funny, useful... This one is one of the most useful ones! I missed the calendar with tasks and reminder since I decided for Opera and stopped using MS Outlook. I could not believe that no one came up with this idea earlier.
Cool Reno! 5 stars from me! (I would give 6 or seven if I could :-) ) I am willing to help with the Czech if you are interested (see my commnet on your blog). You could send me a file with that "CzechSlovak" and I would correct the mistakes...
> I wonder if I can set it to start automatically when I open Opera.
When I do not close the widget on shutdown, "Time and Date" will automatically start on the next Opera startup (Opera v9.21). I agree that the time would be very useful in the activites list. Sometimes a week-view (instead of the month-listing) would also add some sugar to my favorite widget
This is a really useful widget!!! Thanks a lot. I wonder if I can set it to start automatically when I open Opera. Getting the time of the events displayed could be useful, so thats a suggestion for next update. Also, I hope you can include Uruguay in the next calendars list (else with some help I can try). Thanks
I did hit one snag, though, which I "fixed" with an old programmer's trick.
I was trying to add multiple spaces between the date and time when minimized, but apparently they're being parsed to just a single space. No sweat, I just add "high values" (hex "FF", decimal "255") instead of spaces. They display the same, but aren't parsed out.
To do this, just go to where you want to add the spaces and hold down the "Alt" key and then enter "255" on the number pad. When you let up off the "Alt" key this "high value" character will be entered in the string, appearing as just another space when you click "Apply".
For that matter, one can get REAL creative with some of the other higher order bytes, but all I was looking for was just a little more space. <G>.
Could you consider for the next version the implementation of a fuzzy clock? One that says 'Ten to five' (and translatable). I use both your widget and a fuzzy clock, and the latter is taking a lot of screen estate. I'd like to have them both in the same widget
A minor bug for the todo-list: The appointments (in the right part of the windiw) are not listes in order of time but in the order written to the calendar.
The best calender on the Opera widget market so far Thanks a lot for this widget!
What I would really appreciate in the next update would be a Timetable of the current (and maybe the next) day. Like Outlook shows for tasks. This could be shown in a optional third column next to the calendar and task-listing. This would be very helpful since you quickly see an available timespan for a meeting.
Another irritation I suffered: After installing I tried to move the widget around. Therefore I holf mouse-button in the left half of the title bar (in Windows-style) but nothing moved. Man, was I happy when I could move the window by touching it in any other position.
I will inform you
Are there any hints for updating T&D? Or I just have to upload new version and everything will work?

I'll remember it. There's also a lot of other things on the todo-list, so it can be some time until this gets implemented.

Is it possible to have the events searched? Finding past and future events by text instead of only by date would be fine.
