Torrent PowerSearch, Opera application V2.6 Nov 5, 2008 7:40:25 AM

A widget for searching for torrents across multiple sites - at once!.

Search all your favorite torrent sites... at the same time!

This is based on my TorrentSearch widget, but now with a tab for each site, and enhanced display of information. It will display search results in tabs simultaneously for all sites you have selected. Displays all the key information: name, download link, size, seeders, and leechers.

Also comes with a mini mode!

Changelog:
2.6: fixed BTMon again, removed TorrentReactor and Snarfit.
2.4: fixed BTMon, BTJunkie, and SeedPeer. Added version check.
2.3: Added Demonoid back in.
2.2: fixed several sites, and fixed URL opening bug in 9.5. Should work fine now.

This is one of the few widgets I actually use on a regular basis  What's new since 2.0?

By GreyWyvern , # Mar 18, 2008 1:40:16 PM

thanks for this widget! since the premature departure of fulltorrent.net I've been looking for something like this. And, as it often happens, it' in Opera. Hope everything will be ok when it comes down to kestrel.
Just, you know, THANX!

I don't think so, it looks like you have to have an account and log in in order to use the site.

Hi there,

Is it possible you add torrentleech.org ?

Thanks for a beautiful tool.

Thanks, best widget I've seen so far (and only one I keep installed). Only improvement would be more responsive interface.

Thank you for this, works like a charm, I love it!

Thanks, this is a great tool.

Suggestions:

1) Allow to have the search engines in a user specified order. I removed all the ones I didn't find useful, and then add them back in the order I wanted them, but it looked good on the config screen, but the real list was back in the arbitrary order. I use Demonoid a lot, and it's way down on the list. It usually has what I want, and the scrolling over to it is difficult. I have taken some engines off so it can be on the main page.

2) Allow the window to size to have more engines or room for data. Auto size the columns or not, that's not as important.

Thanks again!

This is my favorite torrent widget of all torrent widget's, its made very well, and i like it alot. I hope to see, more improve ments in the future, even though i cannot really see what needs to be improved, as it pretty much looks like its 100% perfected already. So keep up the great work!

This is GOOD.

So good I'm adding it to my free site for peer to peer stuff.

Very good!

Some ideas..
Since the widget pleasantly sort all the data from the sites in it's own layout instead of showing the messy websites them selves, it could be a next logical step to have an option to sort all the data from all tabs/sites into just one tab. That way it would be a lot more easy to find the best torrent you are looking for(like in torent harvester 0.7b).
Also it would be nice if you could make the screen wider so people can read the full file names or atleast have them wrap.

keep up the good work

greetings

So far is a good searching tools, similar to torrentpond. but i wanna tell one little bug i found there.

search result from btmon has a little error. whenever i click the search result, i always get into the next result. ie: When I Click the number one result it always get me into the number two result, 2 into 3, 3 into 4 and so on.

i didn't found it as a problem whenever the thing i wanna lookup is in number 2, but when in the first row, i must search again within btmon.

thanks for sharing such a great widgets.

By roythea , # May 10, 2007 4:10:42 AM

Oh, I see where you're coming from now, so really you'd like to just be able to disable the search, rather than clear it. That's a fair point, I'll look into it.

By ja002h , # May 7, 2007 4:45:40 AM

well actually i found your widget very useful but the fact that you don't have an option whether to keep or not your searches it get a bit into privacy.

isn't about using the drop down or not is about having the option to choose to have or not the history kept.

for me its a very important mater.

so i pass on this widget for now.

thanx for answering though.

By sickzak , # May 7, 2007 2:59:39 AM

sickzak, I don't have a clear history option there right now, do you see that as a problem? It's not like you have to use the dropdown if you don't want to, plus it's set to have the most recent searches at the top, so eventually ones will fall off the end if you don't use them very often. I'm not sure it's something high on my priority list right now...

Lovely widget - anyone know where I may find a guide to the protocols for the search terms? (e.g only torrents under/over 1Gb etc)
