Torrent PowerSearch, Opera application V2.6 Nov 5, 2008 7:40:25 AM

A widget for searching for torrents across multiple sites - at once!.

Search all your favorite torrent sites... at the same time!

This is based on my TorrentSearch widget, but now with a tab for each site, and enhanced display of information. It will display search results in tabs simultaneously for all sites you have selected. Displays all the key information: name, download link, size, seeders, and leechers.

Also comes with a mini mode!

Changelog:
2.6: fixed BTMon again, removed TorrentReactor and Snarfit.
2.4: fixed BTMon, BTJunkie, and SeedPeer. Added version check.
2.3: Added Demonoid back in.
2.2: fixed several sites, and fixed URL opening bug in 9.5. Should work fine now.

It used to work but now there are no torrents listed in the setup window to search. What's the problem?

By CarloGesualdo , # Mar 10, 2011 7:33:09 AM

i heard that pretty soon, the torrents will be no more :frown:

Great tool. Worked fine at the beginning. Now it crashes opera a while after the search has started. Cannot use it anymore :frown:(((( All the other widgets still work and a total new system start does not change the situation. Anyone an idea what the problem might be or where to start looking for???

Good, but needs more sites. There are hundreds of torrent sites so would be better if this widget could search more

good , but...its needs more refining, and faster search displays, some torrent search engine tabs lag for a while, and others just stay blank

one of the most useful widgets, thank you!

Thanks for the good suggestion. I've done that on another widget, so I can probably just port that over and make this resizable as well. I'll take a crack at it sometime soon..

Greetings ja002h
Very nice tool, but sadly for me (and others I see) somewhat hobbled and therefore less rather than more easy to profit from:

The widget window should surely if possible be resizable, both length and width, to allow reading of the full torrent title, so not to see "to allow reading o ...."
and in length, to see as much of the list as the screen height accommodates.

Perhaps these also could be settable preferences, or simply remembered from the previous instantiation once set. I have no idea what the software issues for such are. [ I am happily unencumbered by such understanding :-) ]
Best

2.6 should be working in 9.6, let me know if it's not.

Great widget, a bit quirky at times.
Doesn't seem to work with 9.61
After a search I can only see
xxxx results found for 'yyyyyy' in All torrents

I cant see the results.

Working more stable than similar widget, have problems with displaying seedpeer results, some bookmarks didn't show search info. But this is really usefull tool anyway.

Well, I still don't know what caused it. At least now it works on both the desktop and the USB version again. Hopefully it keeps running.

Is there any way to enlarge the widget's window - for better reading of longer torrent names?

I get the following errors in the error console when I try to run a search in Opera 9.5b2:

I may get around to it eventually, it's just going to be a pain because I'd have to do it differently for each site.

By ja002h , # Apr 21, 2008 5:20:19 AM

Would it be possible to add a details dropdown without actually having to go to the site?

By sneaky1 , # Mar 28, 2008 6:17:33 PM

Actually nothing, it took a couple uploads to get everything working right. I'll update the changelog so there's no confusion.
