A simple calibrator for display. It calibrates brightness, colors, contrast, focus, gamma, geometry, legibility, resolution, response time and subpixel rendering of your display. Please tell me what it lacks of.
0.2 - Improve the interface and the documentation. 0.3 - Added the GPL declaration, improved test images (smaller), a new subpixel test, now works on IE. 0.4 - Added the LCD response time test. 0.5 - Replaced the canvas with a background image, now works on IE and Firefox. 0.6 - Added focus. moiré, zoom tests. Fixed the IE flashing problem in response time. Now speed up or down with up or down arrow key. 0.7 - Now it is fullscreen widget. 0.8 - Traditional Chinese available. 0.9 - Added legibility test, simplified Chinese available.
To-do-list: Translation to other languages. If anyone help me with translation, please send me a message!
I seem to be a few years late - something I'm used to at SnapFiles, but since this is a truly wonderful piece of help, I couldn't help myself!
When I started it, I didn't really know what to do, I just clicked around but guess what: the colors on my monitor seem so much brighter, and it seems like a thing that's annoyed me, a very strong barrel distortion (or whatever it's called in English), has been straightened out - and that I call a miracle.
Anyone out there with an older monitor will certainly benefit from this widget, in about 5 seconds.
to zomg: You can click the question mark for help in each test. There are very simple tutorials, but no details. I will consider writing a complete tutorial. But it is not easy because of so many OS's, displays and display cards. Thanks.
This an excellent widget. I've only dowloaded recently and already I've used it with great success. I can't think of anything it lacks, however you may find in time that individuals with specific equipment or software configurations will provide you with some feedback that will allow you to tailor it to specific needs.

I found some odd "resonance" from the top left of my screen in the solid color test with red and green o_O
