ProxyWidget makes use of the form provided by proxy.org that allows you to navigate anonymously on the internet through the so-called cgi-proxies. Enjoy.

EDIT2: After all it seems the layout as not been totally corrected... Try this new version and report any problem. Skin updated. Added close button.

Install widget ... black box only.
1)Download file http://proxy.org/proxy.js. 2)Place it into the arc. Repace link in [index.html].

Great tool!

when using it on one of the clients in a lan, to what extent can the network administrator screen/block.monitor your browsing?

By rbhimjiani, # Oct 4, 2007 10:56:25 AM

is there any way to set up a proxy chain(linking between several proxys?) with this tool

By rives, # Sep 29, 2007 3:25:14 PM

No, I think these proxies don't monitor its visitors but you would better check the disclaimer of the proxy you use.

Sorry for the late answer :-)

By H4evr, # Aug 13, 2007 4:30:47 PM

What are the policies of these proxies? Do they monitor and store anything about its visistor and where he has been?

By DJViking, # Jul 31, 2007 9:44:24 PM

this is a good concept - it needs to go further however.
what is the solution if the organisation's firewall blocks all these proxy sites?

By rbhimjiani, # Jun 19, 2007 7:18:44 AM

Thank you everybody!

Just a small tip: people outside US (like me) can use it to access www.pandora.com!

Updated a new version! Thanks snapfoo for reminding me of the close button. As for the selection box, try reloading the widget or collapsing&expanding it.
I have also changed the front skin.

very useful widget.
Great work!!

By deciocavallo, # Mar 10, 2007 2:02:54 PM

The selection box doesn't fit inside the window, and you have no close button. =/

By snapfoo, # Mar 9, 2007 7:11:31 AM

The layout is now corrected, so please update to this 1.01 version!

To Schneemann: That maybe a feature to implement in the future. Thanks for your suggestion.

By H4evr, # Mar 8, 2007 0:22:55 AM

Nice..
Could this be done with pure js via a search engine?
So I could type "proxycloak www.***.net" in the adress bar to start.
(where "proxycloak" is the search nickname)
