Resolution Calculator V1.4 Oct 8, 2006 5:20:54 PM

A simple calculator for display resolutions. With 11 parameters - diagonal length, horizontal and vertical aspect ratio, PPI, length, pixels and dot pitch, it calculates total PPI, area, pixels, dot pitch, etc. It has built-in display resolution standards such as VGA, SVGA, XGA and paper size standards such as A4, B4. Please tell me what it lacks of.

0.3 significant changes, adding paper size standards, dot pitch, bbp, image size, 1:1 ratio, input fileds instead of select options and simple help.
0.4 The widget starts with your display parameters.

Im adding this widget to my favorite's, as its of much use to me, as i dont like to manually convert the resolution's of any image's i make, because of resolution calculation's. Wow, extreamly well done, it took me a few second's to realize, their was ACTUALLY some definition's of all of the short cut word's. I will give this widget a 5 out of 5, because of how useful it is, and its friendly GUI, only issue people who want to "GET IT DONE QUICKLY" Will have, is the fact, that their is so many different calculation's, that they may get confused, and just glare at it for a brief moment, and get confused. But if they do take the time to check out how the Resolution Calculator work's, then i believe they will really like using this widget.

It is not very clear, at first, that the 4 and 3 in the sample image represent a 4/3 aspect ratio. Anyway, thanks very much for this very useful widget.

Since the widget frame is rectangular, after all, you could use its rectangle to simulate a screen and indicate more clearly what every input field is. It would look much nicer, too

Something like this:
============ (this is frame's upper limit)
<------------- # pixels: -------------->
^
|
|
# pixels: Diagonal size:
|
|Aspect ratio: # / #
|
|
^

Well, it looks terrible when submitted, but I guess you get the idea.

I was inspired by the following webpages:
http://www.qg.fi/screeninformation.html
http://www.qg.fi/screencalculator.php
But I calculate one more value - pixels per square inch.
Is there anything I miss?
