The widget displays live mid-market rates direct from xe.com. Unfortunately, if xe.com is unavailable, this widget won't function.

It also depends on some layout properties of the results page, so if xe.com changes their site design, I will probably need to update the widget. If that ever happens, just let me know!

Thank you so much!
This is the currency converter I was waiting for because it remembers the currencies which I last selected plus I don't have to scroll through all currencies which are completely useless for me.
Just two question: how up to date are the rates? And what happens if xe.com is unavailable?

Ukraine Hryvnas added! :D

EDIT: BTW all, the currency list XML file is loaded from files.myopera.com each time you open the widget. To add a currency, I just add it to this file. There is no need to download a new version of the widget; the new currency will be available through the options menu the next time you open it!

Serbia Dinars added!

The list I first used did not differentiate between current and recently obsolete currencies. If you know for sure that a currency is no longer being used, please let me know.

Great widget

Awsome

But PS:

Why do we have all those European ex currencies which nobody use anymore , and how reliable are the rates?

QUESTION: Could the Serbian Dinar be added too? PLS!!!

The list updates fine for me. Are you clicking the widget gear "options" button after you select the currencies you want?

By GreyWyvern , # Oct 3, 2006 5:00:50 PM

One problem--when you change the entries in the list of selectable currencies, the list doesn't update unless you completely restart the widget.
