Press the panic button when you need to hide whatever you were doing...

Can either hide everything with black or open google in Opera which will make Opera pop up on top of everything else.
You can also resize the button.

Protect yourself from your mom, little brother or whoever doesn't respect your privacy!

the black was originally completely black, but apparently it was transparent or something on linux so I had to make it a bit less dark

What a brilliantly hillarious idea! Though I would love to see a way to choose which web page to goto when you click the button.

That was awesome! Great when you gotta hide something, and quick, and it's also fun to yell "HIT THE PANIC BUTTON!!!!". I sure do wish they had Opera at my old school, so I could secretley install this widget, and when the teach came back in the room, she wouldn't know I was goofing off

I love this widget!

i suppose that it doesn't work for multiple monitors, as opera's fullscreen doesn't handle it...
but nice idea

I had the idea of using SVG for it... Gotta learn it a bit first, though. I'll keep it in mind, will consider for future update

I like this idea.
It would be great if the Panic button was vector based so it would scale nicely. It looks very poor at my 50x50.

The preferences are saved, the configuration page will remember them... if it just straight away displayed the panic button, there wouldn't really be any good way of entering the config again so that's why it's always displayed first.

Yeah, adding hover and such to the image... maybe, maybe.

Nice idea. Just a few suggestions. Save preferences and maybe some transparency to the panic button and interactive effects with the button.

Sorry, appears there was a problem when I uploaded the version which allows you to change the image size. I sent a new version and verified it works properly... now you get two fields in the configuration to change the image size.
