Nice, but i prefer the Screenlets ruler. Mainly because when i use it with Compiz instead of KWin, it is wobbly, and because it does in pixels in increments of
Nice, unfortunately it does not work in dual head (Two adjacent screens providing 3200x1200 resolution) - the ruler is too short and there are glitches when showing it.
i wonder whether you can slightly modify the rule widget to a "pointer" widget. it will be useful for presentation, say i run a ppt full screen, and use the "pointer" widget to point to the place i am talking about.
only trick is if you are measuring close to the right edge of the screen, can the display box for the marker jump "inboard" so the measurement can be read? i know you can shift the ruler left, lock the marker, and then move the ruler right again, but that's not really helpful.
also, is there any way to flip the ruler over, so as to measure from right to left or bottom to top?
Excellent. One good add for me to this nice widget would be the possibillity to have a way to change the ratio of the ruler. For instance, I would measure to size of my screen (in inches ou cms), enter the number on the ruler and it can become an actual ruler (in cm or inches) Anyway congratulation for this widget, I love it!
At last! An accurate ruler that makes measurement incredibly simple! Thanks.
Only slight downer is that it is not wide enough for my screen, although if I extend SLOWLY beyond the end of the ruler, I can still get a measurement. Any chance of making the overall length variable?
I find that when you drag it to the right you can't read the measurement anymore. I would also like to be able to read how wide my screen is so please move the tooltip over a bit when on the right.
Great widget - is it possible to add an option to keep it on top of all windows? I use it often to make sure things on my web pages are lined up properly between browsers. It's hard to trouble shoot when I keep having to switch between windows to get the ruler on top again.
Hi, I have a problem with this fantastic widget. A ruler is not flexible, I cannot freely drag a ruler and drop it somewhere in a window. :-( Ruler is always fixed in a window. I have Ubuntu 6.10 -the Edgy Eft and Opera 9.10. In MS Windows is Ruler working properly.
Could you also make the widget measure from the bottom up? Right now the vertical only measures from top down.
