If one like this tool, then just try this little free text editor, Metapad (http://liquidninja.com/metapad/)
it's more convenient to use (40k+; no installation)...just try its user defined Favorites list

Love that you can write in WYSIWYG but two BIG problems, for me.

1. The Aspell spell checker that works in Opera applications does not work in this widget.
2. There is no way to add a link.

My hope was to use this for writing my (none Opera blog) blog posts.

Look forward to possible future improvements.

Right on that's a great idea.

Very nice, I'm writing a lot, this would help. Wonder if there will be any update for this widget though.

I liked it a lot, but I'd like it better with some margins and alt function, so when you put your mouse over a button it displays its function.

Thanks, I just install it! It's very easy to use.

Suggestion: Add titles to the buttons without text. This makes it a lot easier to disover what the widget is capable of.

Nice widget! On my wishlist: "Press a button to insert forum-style tag". Ie. *click*['b']*click*[/'b']

It is a fab widget. However, I inadvertently saved 2 files with the same name and I can't remove one of them. How do you do it? I'm sure it's something really simple.

Nice one. What about making it post directly to Opera Community blogs?

By drlaunch , # Oct 18, 2006 9:11:54 AM

Maybe a collapse option?

A nice idea to have such a fuction as a widget.
Unfortunately it is not yet in a usable state. As an exemple Write! crashes Opera if I input a realy long line.

This is the widget I've been truly wanting ever since Opera first introduced it. Thank you very much.

By Voxxyn , # Sep 19, 2006 12:10:35 PM

What it really needs is the ability to use Opera's spell check. Could be fairly useful for quick spelling checks then.

Excellent work. I know nothing about writing widgets, but I'm wondering how difficult is to add a feature that lets people insert characters in other languages or common ones like @.
