Save the pipes from leaking! A game of speed and skill

A game of strategy and speed. Connect the pipes in bizarre patterns to join the start and the end. Points are awarded to the most complex pipe structures.

This game is based off the game of the same name by TheGreenNight for Linux [link].
The pipe images used are also credit to him and are licenced under the Free Art Licence.

Wow chupacabra that's MENTAL!! I managed a 5755 point high score and I thought no one could be that! Yours is so well structured how did you do it?! Mine goes in all directions!

Thanks, Ben!
I managed to achieve this score so far:

Will you tell us what your highest score is?

chupacabra, here is a small hint, if you want to design pre-planned pipe layouts make sure they use the different pieces in the ratio that they are supplied in: http://ben.abrahamjoffe.com.au/pipe.html, that will help you get about 2000 more points.

the original is called pipe dream. those were the days (windows 3.11)

ist wirklich gut. leider is die darstellung mit 1280x1024 nicht ganz optimal, da ein teil abgeschnitten wird.

I saw a good idea in thunor's screenshots, and voila! - the result is here: http://files.myopera.com/chupacabra/albums/125758/pipepanic3.png

Thunor: you may use the images and code for non profit use so long as my contribution is credited.

Hi Benjamin

Is it possible to have access to the artwork and source code to your widget?

Hi, Benjamin. Of course you can make the highest score - you're the author of this marvellous widget. Allow me to show my new high score at http://files.myopera.com/chupacabra/albums/125758/pipepanic2.png though...
I'm looking forward for more widgets from you, mate!

dante: It would normally be quite simple to do that, but unfortunately because the widget can be scaled, it would make it a more complex task that I could not be bothered doing right now. Glad you enjoy it though.

chupacabra: that is a decent high score, however using a particular strategy I can get over 6000.

Could it be possible to have the current pipe hover under the cursor (actually blend over the tile under the cursor) ? While we're at it, also show the next pipes around the cursor... I find it distracting to keep looking to the left. Time is ticking, man.

PS: Great job, we're playing like monkeys on multiple computers.

There is no "picking up" of pieces, you are forced to use the piece in the green square and the other two squares show what is coming up next. Clicking anywhere on the grid places the green tile there.

How do you pick up/connect a pipe from the menu/gameboard?
