Scientific Calculator, Opera application V1.1 Aug 23, 2006 4:54:56 PM

This two-line scientific calculator provides the look and feel of a real calculator. With a dedicated line for the equation and another for the result, complex equations can be written with ease. Numbers and simple functions can be input via the keyboard, while more advanced functions are available using the normal calculator buttons.

Current features include:

  • Trigonometry
  • Logarithms
  • Combinations and permutations
  • 7 programmable memory locations
  • Pseudo-random number generator

If you don't like the default look, you can change it! Five different skins are provided.

Note: This calculator is only as accurate as the JavaScript runtime environment, floating point rounding errors can occur.

* Added keyboard input for numbers and basic functions.
* Added skin selector with preview.
* Added error messages for incorrectly formed equations.

This calculator was the best widget I ever seen! I've been using it in my everyday work, as it's really convenient, and I had the same, but hardware version , at home.
This is a big PLEASE to the developer of this application:
Please, fix it, I'm sure it shouldn't take you too much time...

By nazaralli , # Feb 11, 2011 4:32:51 PM

he is true! : (( CalcMatic! Please fix this excellent calculator so it works in 10.50 and higher! I used it all the time at work until 2x2 became 2...2 (Err: Number) )) - MossMan

& very more bug....
is very bad! :frown:(

My Opera info: Opera 11 - last ver.
Platform: Intel - Win7 x64

Multiply and divide fails to insert the operator, only a blank space. Thus the calculation fails.

My Opera info:
Version 11.00
Build 1152
Platform Win32
System Windows NT 6.1

Before yesterday I was sent a message to CalcMatic about this problem, and today he answered to me this:

"I'll look into this over the weekend. I've neglected my widgets for ages, perhaps this is the excuse I need to restart development on them."

By Haradax , # May 8, 2010 12:12:59 AM

I have the same problem as Haradax and jereygex; the multiplication and division functions do not work with Opera version 10.53. :-(

By mimi20beta , # May 4, 2010 7:41:46 AM

I have experienced the same problem as Haradax; the multiplication and division functions do not work with Opera version 10.52, either.

By jeremygex , # Apr 30, 2010 10:53:41 PM

It was my favorite calculator until Opera 10.51 comes. After that, some of functions stop responding, including "x" and "/", so this pretty widget becomes unusable. :frown:

Is there someone who have this problem too, or know how to fix it?

By Haradax , # Apr 27, 2010 12:41:14 PM

Would be so cool to have a date and time operations, times at least, like this
1:28:31 + 0:45 - 1:08 = 1:28:08 for instance. (H:MM:SS and/or MM:SS format)

Easy to read and works well. It has all of the scientific keys you need. My only complaint is where is the percent key?? Thanks for the nice work Opera 10.10

Sashurik and 2operetka,
See the bug #302 to fix your simple arith problems.

Bearsmalaysia2,
This widget does pow(729, 1/3) but hey, you'll see "0.3333333333333333" if you type "javascript:alert(1/3)" in the address bar.
So we should round the result anyway.

By ttamo , # Dec 4, 2009 3:49:42 PM

cube root of 729 is 8.9999999999999999999998....hahahahahaha

By Bearsmalaysia2 , # Nov 18, 2009 3:50:45 PM

Wow great work.

FINALLY! Someone came up with an easy to read calc. with all the right functions! I also like that when you enter plus (+) , times (x) etc., it actually shows them in the equation. Nicely done!

By ddferrari1 , # Jun 30, 2009 8:11:22 PM

It is very good! He, hehe, he

By 2operetka , # Jun 26, 2009 10:56:01 PM

62-52.2=9.799999999999997 he, hehe, he, hehe, he

Manual?? sério se não sabem mexer em uma calculadora científica simples então por quê baixar?? Enfim, adoro esse widget, acho super útil quando não acho a minha calculadora rs e o melhor é que é praticamente parecida com a minha. Congrats!

By lenary , # Jun 8, 2009 5:41:59 PM

Uma calculadora como esta tem que ter um Help ou um manual. O criador do widget não pensou nisto?
