SimAquarium is an aquarium simulation game - you can buy and sell fish, aquarium sceneries (plants, rocks etc), lighting and other things for your aquarium!
You can feed your fish, play with them and do much more. To earn money you have to breed and sell fish - there is 28 different species with different characteristics, some of the fishes are very rare. With more money you can buy bigger and prettier fishes, more impressive aquarium decorations and better lighting. But the most expensive animal you can buy is not a fish - it's a dolphin!
The game doesn't need a lot of attention - you can run this game in the background and do something else in the same time (it is possible to reduce the number of frames per second to save processor and you can minimize the widget). The widget file takes about 1.5 MB. I would be greateful for any comments about the game balance, speed etc. of the new version!!!
Oh, by the way: you can even take the photos of your aquarium! To take a photo, simply press the photo camera button. If you like your aquarium, you can post the photos here
I LOVE this widget!! I downloaded it a few days ago and have been playing non-stop since! I'm still trying to figure out what all of the buttons on the side do. I know the feeding button the meds button, I'm assuming the rabbit button is the breeding hormone? Other then that I haven't figured out the others. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I am enjoying this fun little micro management widget game. It's almost like "The Sims", only for sane people ;-) I experienced performance issues with an old version of Opera and this game (it took a great deal of time for the fish to breed and grow), but with Opera 10 on the other hand, they grow, breed (and fight) like there was no tomorrow. Love it!

i am playin since i downloaded opera like 6 hours ago and i am pretty addicted to it ^^
btw.: how do i use the breed hormone to get the max. out of it? i tried stuff like on a big colony of Guppis ... that was like hell every sec. there was a new guppi, but it doesnt seem to work that well with my Card. Tetra... does anyone know why?
1. Veeeery nice Widget! Thank you that you made it. 2. How do I get a second dolphin? I had one dolphin, and waited AGES (at least 30 hours, that means 30 'refreshes') and never got a second dolphin. Thanks for answering (even though it is not too urgent since I accidentally let it starve to death...)
I love this app! I just wish you can have something so you can make money instead of seeling things for it. Or can you make money? Please respond.. I give this app * * * * *
The Zebrafish fight too much, but they made me a lot of money in the beginning. They reproduced so fast ... same with the southern platyfish, but they didn't fight *at all*.
I also liked the guppy's, and am currently trying to save up for the Angelfish. (Read Iragael's post, below...it was very helpful.).
This Widget is pretty neat once you get the hang of it. Unfortunately after playing around with it for a couple evenings it started crashing my Opera... I ended up removing it. It sucked too because i was starting to really get the hang of it and was about to PWN it's N00b.
here's my aquarium
