Aquarium simulation game.

SimAquarium is an aquarium simulation game - you can buy and sell fish, aquarium sceneries (plants, rocks etc), lighting and other things for your aquarium!

A short help is available here

There is also a strategy guide written by rul3r (spoiler warning!)

Also there is a couple modifications of this widget made by other people, for example:
RealAquarium - more realistic rate of growth, breed etc. and a few other changes by Iragael
SimAquarium with new graphics etc by 4everdemon

You can feed your fish, play with them and do much more. To earn money you have to breed and sell fish - there is 28 different species with different characteristics, some of the fishes are very rare. With more money you can buy bigger an

Yeah, looking at the strategy guide, you find the 3 fish that make money the best. Get to freshwater angelfish asap because they live forever and they reproduce like rabbits.

My question is if you could run this thing the capability of multiple instances, with some money share between them. That way, you can have a cool fish tank and a money maker tank or wahtever you want.

Also, there is a crashing problem, it happens for me when I'm selling fish.

As the strategy guide seems to be offline, I wondered if someone can give me an idea what is an easy way to raise money. I have an tank with 30 zebrafish and it takes hours to raise enough for the bigger upgrades and fishes, as they are rather expensive. And all the bigger fishes I tried seem not to produce enough offspring to even make up for their costs, before the die. Some don't even produce enough to keep the species alive if I have four of them.

I used to love it, until by accident it got tons better ... for a short period of time. It's as if my aquarium sudenly came to life. I hope you can add the graphic/light option to the widget as soon as possible. Need to get the change back, it looked so good. Or can someone tell me how to tweak it myself, if it's allowed to do so. Thank you.

Love this widget, but why do my seahorses look just like regular fish? LOL Not a big deal...just curious!

Very cool modification, venodict

At first i'd like to thank you for a brilliant widget!

I made a tiny modification to fish listing and now they are sorted by their value. So the most expensive species are listed first and the cheapest are on the bottom of the list. Within one specie, fishes are sorted by size.

Modificated js-files can be dowloaded at: http://wikisend.com/download/910866/sort.zip

Yeah awoogle, just use fullbright. I'm afraid it's a bug in Opera engine so I can't really fix it. I reported it.

Trop Nice!

: I'm having the same problem. I'm glad it's not just me? It's kind of tempting to lighten up all the light overlays in Photoshop, though laziness has prevailed with me and I usually just use the Fullbright.

How long I need to wait for publish ??Anybody know?

By 4everdemon , # Jan 9, 2009 2:44:04 PM

You have to look in fish.js (and maybe fishshop.js) files. It's easier to edit existing fish than to add more.
