This widget is a update checker for sites. It verify any change in the sites that you write and will alert you when someone of this sites have a change. Very usefull with statics sites that don´t have feeds
Fine widget. A bit too few transparency for my taste: e.g. when are the pages re-checked automatically? Is it just a timestamp check or is there a html-compare? Maybe even an intelligent content-comparison?
Some filtering would be fine. I watch a (server-script generated) page which after a minute gets a star-symbol and then a flame. But when going there I cannot see a change. I suggest, this alerts the time which is always shown on the page bottom.
What I would apreciate: An explanation for the symbols and some hover-hints. Anyway this is a fine widget
PS: A litte bug I just saw: When deleting a page the order of the remaining pages changes.
It looks great, but... it crashed my opera. The first added I added (a blogspot page) has sound. Opera tries do download the mp3 file (with freshdownloader, my downloader manager) instead of playing it. This is just a possible clue to the problem.
Anyway, when I inserted the page on Update Checker it hangs Opera indefinitely. (And when I close it I got MSN stating Opera doesn't reply their messages about this error, and how to unistall opera!!!)
Widget is working. So I'm a new fan of this and I give it a four star! But it's a little bit annoying, whenever you close and reopen the widget, it adds by default a new "space" to enter a new site. It would be better if it only open this space only if we want to enter a new site (I don't now if I'm clear...) More options would be even better. (time between 2 check-up)
@Quiris: do you have the last version (9.01) of Opera? On my computer, it takes more than usual but not 100%...
Sounds Great! Let me test and find out if it is really
EDIT: I tried it by adding this page widget to the list, posting then a comment and checking with the button Actualise...nothing happened, is-it normal?
There should be added an option for auto-refresh every X minutes (like the RSS checker). Well I'll teste again an post my comments here
