Hey, THANKS.
This widget WORKS. Its helping me remember to get my clothes out of the dryer! Specifically, I can hear the alarm from across the room. Maybe more to tell later, but for now, THANKS! Nice widget. Jim

Problem with disability of moving the widget to the borders of Linux desktop is wellknown and occurs on some distries.

Is fixed in 1.04
See Changelog

Last version of Widget is 1.05RC1

Hmm, Nice, clear, simple and SMALL, exactly what I want.

My only issue is that it seems to have a virtual border that prevents moving it near to a side of the screen. It stops about one inch from the left and top border, about 1.5 inch from the right border and about 2.5 inches from the bottom border. I would like to have all these invisible borders to be 0 inches, so I could place it on top of some toolbar :-)

My Opera is 9.25, OS is Linux. (I'm willing to help if you want, feel free to send me a PM ;-))

Thanks!

I really like this widget - compact, easy to use, no problems. However there's one thing I like to be able to do. I like to use count-up timer mode to see how long a job or activity takes. But if I stop the timer and then restart it, it starts counting down, instead of continuing to count up. Is there a way to count up, pause, and then continue to count up ?

Thanks !! :-)

@Trof

Sorry, will be fixed next version.
Please be polite and wait a little bit

webgenster: You can change background color in config.js.

I would like to ask very politely  for adding a feature, that will move focus on pressing Enter.
Like you move cursor to hour field, write numbers on keyboard, pres Enter, jump to minutes, write, Enter jump to seconds and again and jump and start timer.
That would be really great and more convinient to use, less mouse wondering around. The timer is great, I use it all the time

A very nice and useful widget. But what about color change option? And/or skins? It would be great.

Version 1.02

Bugfix: Now timer 's running accurate

By GwenDragon, # May 12, 2007 10:43:05 AM

Version 1.01

Bug with timer running slower not fixed.
On different OS and CPU the widget behaves different in time difference to real time.

The timer as a widget seems to have an accuracy of 3.5 per thousand.

@Awesomedude

Yes, the timer is running some fractions of seconds slower than a real clock.
I'll check an test it.
Please wait for new bug fix.
Thanks a lot for your information about this prtoblem.

@Igormogilev
You mean: "Not bad"?
Thanks.

By GwenDragon, # Apr 13, 2007 5:14:48 PM

Неплохо

The timer seems borked, I have a physical clock/timer and your timer is slow gaining about 10 seconds per 5 minutes. I love the application but it needs to be fixed. It is also slow compared to an online clock. I really love the app but it needs to be able to keep accurate time.

Still some problems on Linux.
Sorry, seems to be Operas problem, not mine.

1. Trouble of displaying shadow and transparency if transparency is activated on X-Server

2. Disability of moving widget on desktop; widget stops suddenly

3. Sound can not be stopped; so it's disabled on Linux

By GwenDragon, # Apr 3, 2007 8:23:46 PM

Yes, my thanks too. Nice, small and useful thing

And it's quite useable which along with simplicity results in nice piece of soft. Nice work.

I really love this widget. Thanx for making it. This is something that I will be using almost constantly as it is so much easier than many other alternatives to keeping track of time. No more burned pizzas while online chatting either.

No requests either. I love this widget just the way it is. Thanx again.

I think what is meant (and I would also find this very useful) is:

Set a countdown time
At elapsed time, widget beeps as per normal
Widget then resets to the countdown time that was entered and starts counting down again

I often use this feature with my watch while I'm working, as a way to remind myself to keep track of the time. Would be useful while surfing (!)

Nice widget!

Hi jechaviz,

You wrote: »And third, i don't know if you could (please, please) to add a feature to this widget: repetitive alarm (like beep every x min)«

You mean: set a countdown and after elapsing do beep every x min?

By GwenDragon, # Jan 24, 2007 4:51:45 PM

Hi,
thanks for this useful and well designed widget.
But it would be wonderful if I could switch between this countdown mode an a new one: An ordinary alarm clock with this nice ugly buzzer!
