If you will draw a masterpiece, don't worry, you won't lose it - this widget has picture exporting, saving and loading! This widget has also multilanguage support - at this moment 32 languages are included! If you want to help me translate this widget, look here. By the way - this widget checks for updates automatically
Warning: if you have Opera 9.5 and can't use colors it's caused by a bug in the new version of Opera. Images with alpha transparency are not rendered correctly in canvas element (bug #335311). This bug has been reported to Opera and I can't do much more about it, sorry. The only solution for now to paint with colors other than black is to install a copy of Opera 9.27 for this widget.
This is a brilliant alternative to paint, with better texture and a nice anti-alais. One thing that happens when I use it is when I first select any tool, and click down on the canvas, the whole widget moves, and I can't let go. Do you know whats going on? Is anyone elses doing the same? Nice one though.. J
What fo you mean by "my pictures"? If you mean "Paste picture" tool in this widget, simply click the paper to paste selected picture. If you mean pasting a pictures saved in a folder named "my pictures", than the answer is: No. Widgets can't access files on your hard disk. The available pictures are built-in into the widget.
Love the widget, but I'm so dumb, can you import a picture from "my pictures"? It's probably right there and I'm not seeing it... Still love the widget, very advanced, and a great concept! Keep up the good work!!!
the tracing paper idea is great, even if I'm real lousy at drawing, I really like the widget. I don't even know if it's possible but I think even more interaction with pages displayed in Opera would be nice. I'm thinking of something like a direct way to open a specific image given it's address or maybe the ability to take screenshots (or grabs of the portion of screen you peek throu the tracing paper). Anyway, great work. keep it up.
But is it only here or is it extremely slow to draw ? Whenever I try to draw a line the line just jumps a bit at the time. Like if I draw a line fast diagonally on the canvas it takes like 10 seconds for the line to catch up with the mousepointer. I currently tried it on 9.0 final Linux.
A few comments above I posted a solution for you problem, timan.
I'm developing this widget actively, though don't expect it to be a second MS Paint. MS Paint is terrible IMHO. I think my widget has some advantages over it already. And the next version will have more advantages (one mentioned here)
Have a very clean operating system and this Widget With Promise shifts all over when I attempt to use any tool....rendering it fairly useless. Also, one cannot go back to a previous state.
One doesn't expect Xara X here, but--XP already comes with a far, far more sophisticated painting program, so there is no advantage to this Widge.
I love the idea of the tracing. I think it would be great if you would include the ability to choose any colour from either RGB, HSV or a hex value. Also, using the opera-2dgame context it would be possible to create an eyedropper to extract colours from your own image. Well done.

What a FANTASTIC widget. I have given 5 stars to other widgets but this one really deserves something above that. Brilliant.
And I can't wait for the tracing paper.
