dotoo: To-do lists V1.1 Jul 15, 2006 10:50:04 PM

This little widget allows you to keep an eye on things that need to be done.

Changes in v1.1
- Nicer user interface
- Editing of existing lists and to-do's
- Some usability improvements (form focus, tooltips)

I'm still working on synchronization of your lists between multiple computers, so don't forget to keep an eye on widget too

I like this, widget, it looks good and does the job. I have Opera loaded on 3 machines so the "live" Opera bookmark Link in Opera 9.5b is great (it's in the File menu). It would be really handy if this tool synched in the same way, so that feature would be the top of my development wish list items for this widget!

Hi
I would like this widget to work as an alarm-clock to remind me that I have to do "list 1" on a specific date. Would that be possible?or does another widget already provide this function?
Thx

Very nice widget. But imo better remove that bold from "Add list" button and input field. Also, date of task creation should be stored and shown imo too. Also, what about moving items up\down to set priority?

Here's a feature i think it could have:
When in mini-mode, it would show the total number of items to do, considering all lists. So in mini-mode, it could look like:
[ dotoo | 13 | expand > ]
and when there was nothing to do:
[ dotoo | 0 | expand > ]

Also, here's a user-interface improvement that I think would be nice:
* In an empty list, you should be able to click the "Looks like this list is empty..." phrase to add an item.

Nice widget! Keep up the good work!

I tried to increase the widget's height by adjusting config.xml and main.css, but it wasn't as easy as I imagined. Any tips?

Okay, I went back to the original computer I had used the U3 version of Opera on and now this widget works. Apparently it stores its files on the host computer and not on the USB thumbdrive that Opera is running from.

As a follow up to my previous comment, I redownloaded this widget. Now I have two versions of it that show up in the Widgets menu. One will come up (empty - apparently the newest download) and the other does not come up???

I am using the U3 version of Opera. I downloaded this widget then typed in whole bunch of to-do's (after struggling to figure out how to do so) and when I went to use the U3 USB with Opera again (this time on other computers) it stopped working. It shows up as a running application in the Task Manager but does not show in the start menu or show up in alt-tab movements.

How about a feature that allows you to change the order of list items? I like to keep my lists in chronological order, so it would be nice to be able to insert new items between existing items or rearrange items. Also maybe a way to change the list view, i.e. so that what is currently the bottom entry could become the top entry.

Otherwise, great widget! Now maybe I'll actually get stuff done for once because dotoo will be staring at me while I browse the web aimlessly!

Excellent. All it needs is the priority thingie.

Oh, and I've also noticed that with a lot of "to dos" there seems to be a lag time when you move around. I know it's because my system is old, but still, if you can, I'd love to see this run smoothly. :D

Nice so far! Not quite what I need though. I would like:

- drag & drop (or other method) re-ordering of tasks
- option to show all tasks on one screen (in collapsible tree form) rather than on different pages.

nice little widget i use it for a number of things.

Nice widget.
I would suggest you could add some additional features

- set color highlights to know what task you have to prioritize or needed to be done urgent.
- if you could put alarm or a date/time function to know if your on the deadline or something

Either way, this is a great widget and looking forward for more improvement to come.
