Keep track of items that need to be done. Works 100% on the client side -- uses widget preferences to store data.

Version 1.2

Flip over for preferences
- widget size
- font size

Version 1.3

Some suggestions:

-Some kind of reminder (Something pop-up every 5-15-30 mins/1 hour)
-Details (A box pop-up with details in it)
-Customisable background colors
-Make it even smaller

Thanks

Perfect, I would just like to see a button to close the widget.
And maybe a calender function of some kind where I could see my list displayed in a calender...

Leave the pencil, I like editing my list that way.
Thanks!

I really liked that widget, but it keeps hanging up at exit sometimes for me. I think this is because I'm using not only latin characters. Because it hangs up only on exits and only when I made certain changes (yet still I wasn't been able to isolate what causes so).

Hmm, don't get me wrong, but isn't it easier to create a folder "to-do" in the notes panel and then create 2 subfolder "Priority" and "Normal"? I have tried this widget and it is a nice start, but firstly the changes opted by padule (14. July 2006, 07:02:48) has to be taken into regard and something extra (alarm?) need to be brought forth before I would install a widget like this instead of using notes now.

Great tools. One comment only from my side: it would be good to have a possibility to change the background color, e.g. to make it lighter so that the list items are more readible. Like this the items at the bottom are written in black on dark blue background which is quite difficult to read.

Great work, nice widget, very easy to use.
Keep at it!

It would be nice if I could syncronise the to do list between 2 or more computer I know this requires some place on the web to store the data but it would be a great feature!

I want to note that this widget might break in future Opera versions because it doesn't have a close tag for the script element. Now Opera closes the element anyway but that's actually a bug.

Simple, yet awesome.

i see a lot of feedback about the size of the list. already exists "extended", "compact", "minimal" and now you are working on a super-minimized.
how about a version that expands itself according to how many tasks are present? this way there would be no unused space.

By padule, # Jul 17, 2006 1:43:51 PM

I've been thinking about removing the pencil, but then I was worried that there wasn't an obvious visual clue to how to edit (without mouse-over)

Other ideas are also good -- will think about some of them. Also, next version will have print as was suggested by someone who emailed me.

And, by popular demand, there will be a super-minimized version.

very nice widget!
and most of all very useful.

some suggestions:
- from the design point of view i would put the icons to the right so that the commands are all aligned
- the edit icon could be deleted since one can edit by clicking on the task name
- when editing a task name, clicking anywhere on the widget keeps current setting (that's good). when editing a task priority it does not do the same (would be nice if it did).
- it also woud be nice if after un-checking a completed task the old priority was kept.

Yeah I'd like to see a minimized version, like a little blueish square that you double click on to see your list. Or a transparent version with a heavy font.

By piper_noiter, # Jul 14, 2006 9:32:21 AM

I know.

By Demonstro, # Jul 7, 2006 10:11:24 AM

If you flip over, you can set the size to "minimal"

By loumf, # Jul 6, 2006 1:16:05 PM

Love it. Could you add priority also? Three degrees would suffice I guess. Make top priorities default above normal priorities above low priorities. And it is rather big for my taste.

By Demonstro, # Jul 6, 2006 11:48:28 AM

I implemented most of the suggestions above in v1.2

By loumf, # Jul 6, 2006 4:24:06 AM

Thanks for all of these suggestions -- working on them now.

Echo yamiking. Nice and useful widget - a minimized version, that I could keep "always on top" would be great.

If the minimized version also contained the top-of-the-list item, it would be even better.
