Traditional snake, in hexagons instead of squares
For controlling it, since there are six directions, I could not simply use all 4 of the arrow keys. Instead press only the left or right arrow to change direction. I know, it is not the same as usual snake but after a few minutes it starts to feel natural.
For the hackers out there: there is a cheat hidden in the game that can be typed to alter the gameplay. If you discover it well done, but please do not post it here.

Feature request: show what's "beyond" the edge, by showing a mirror of the first three rows of cells on the other side.
Don't know if this can be done in a visually appealing way..

The controls could be improved if you make something like:
Up-left=W, Up-right=E,
Left=A, Right=D,
Down-left=Z, Down-right=X.

It's not slow here, it runs perfectly (unlike some other widgets like sokoban, that tend to be laggy)
