Stay Secure V1.77 Jul 2, 2006 0:03:55 AM

Keep your eye on the security of Web browsers.

This widget shows the security status of the latest versions of IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari and Konqueror 3. The bars represent how dangerous is the worst unfixed hole (not the number of holes) - the lower a bar, the better security. The data about the vulnerabilities is loaded from Secunia site. It's refreshed once per hour.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The widget DOES NOT make you more secure by itself. This is a general information accurate only for the latest versions of the browsers. Always use the most current version of your browser and install security patches!

Very good widget. Scan online from Secunia http://secunia.com/software_inspector

I know that the first 4 browsers (from left-to-right) are: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari, but what is that 5th browser? Unknown browser? Is it Netscape, Flock, or what?
XD

This widget doesn't say anywhere that Opera is the safest browser in the world. It just shows the number of known and unfixed holes reported by Secunia. Anyone can draw his own conclusions from this.

I wonder, how you know that Opera is the safest. I mean, what is, if there are bugs in Opera but they are not identified till now?
(Altough I'm a Opera-User I don't think, that Opera is perfect. :\)

Excuse me.
Will you schedule it corresponding to Firefox3.0?

By Winglord, # Jun 20, 2008 10:44:18 AM

It should be fixed now.

Why is it showing the security rating for Firefox 1.x when Firefox 2.x is the current release with Firefox 3 due to be released soon.

Hi Grafico,

Just saw you've released a bugfix. And wow... it works.

Very pleased! Good work!

Greetz,

Tahar.

I think the button is blocked when widget position (top-normal-below) is changed. You have to restart widget to unblock it. I think it's bug in Opera, I have the same in other widgets too. I will file a bug report.

@grafio
The close button is not working in Opera 9.5 (Unix 9.5.1992) in Stay Secure 1.79.

By kyleabaker, # May 30, 2008 8:47:06 AM

1.79, fixed a bug which caused problems in Opera 9.5

By grafio, # May 29, 2008 11:04:40 AM

Sorry, Opera employee has to approve update before it become public. You'll have to wait a bit for 1.78.

By grafio, # May 24, 2008 3:12:19 PM

Still not loading. I am using Opera 9.27
