i can't find out how to play

i like the game it's not very intelligent but i'm no genius either.Would like some indication of when checkmate is achieved.
I agree with Aortic56 about the childish arrogant rude remarks & his own post is arrogant & rude

It would seem that some of the users here have nothing better to than to complain about everyone else's work here. All the while though try doing a search for the very same people's work here and there is none. Then it dawned on me! The majority of those who are doing the most complaining, or at least those who are doing so very rudely. Are probably no more than 10 or 12 years old and have no clue about how difficult it can be to develop some of the widgets being develpoed here.

I know I should ignore those remarks, but I have no time or use for rude and arrogant children. And if your not within the age group that I mentioned then you need to stop acting so.

I mostly agree with Odian's comments above... A VERY "unintelligent" game where the comp. takes pieces that ordinarily no SANE person, playinmg in its place, would execute... Suggest you look at the MAC-supplied CHESS programme (a freebie!) which is WAY more intelligent... (Or any of a dozem others...) Good first attempt, though. Just needs refining!

odian, sounds like YOU should be the one writing the widget, then, if you think you can do better. Opera could use a few more widget developers, anyways.

Nice try! But a bad game. AI is completely stupid, for sure, and not even all chess rules apply! Please, study some chess books before trying to make any chess game again.
