The reason that New South Wales does not show up in the http://www.news.com.au/feeds list is that as usual a media organisation has been lazy and has lumped New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory together under the one heading - NSW/ACT.

Having the national feed would also be useful - labelled as Federal in their list.

Hi Benjamin. I got the feeds from http://www.news.com.au/feeds but I didn't find anything for New South Wales there. If you know where it is, post the link here, and I'll include it.

It seems this widget is missing New South Wales, could you please add it? After all that is the state with the highest population.

Yes... true, and if its no problem modifying them then I guess the negatives are quite small. Further still, in my opinion the best solution would be to keep all of these in the same widget but create a once off splash screen which lets the user decide the most important choice, in this case which country (while keeping a configuration panel if the option needs to be changed later). Either way I guess its not much of an issue.

I agree with most of your arguments, but its sometimes common that people dont want too many choices. Its much simpler for someone to take what they see instead of visiting a configuration panel to customize a program for their needs.

Its not at all annoying for us to modify such widgets, we have a proper system in place to help us do all that.

And of course, dont forget that you chose to comment on the Australian News widget, instead of any of the others that look and work the same way:smile:

A very nice widget but surely makeing 5 different versions is a bit redundant. There should be just one version with a configuration panel to chose which country(s) news is desired. This could also apply to your recent wikipedia and photo widgets which each unnecessarily come in several flavours.

I can only imagine how annoying it is going to be when you want to modify any of them.
