hello...........

By favoureatman, # Apr 22, 2008 10:22:03 AM

Just downloaded. I like the widget, but there is no option to turn off the ticker when minimises, so I find it quite distracting. Sorry to be a bother as I know others had requested the ticker!

Like this widget a lot, but there are some issues:

1. I want the option to select if I want the links to go to the (cluttered) full-graphics news page, or to the corresponding low graphics page, which I highly prefer.

2. Why does the widget flicker once every other minute or so? It should only happen if there are new articles. Widgets should play in the background and not call for your attention unless necessary.

To change settings, click what looks like a 'refresh' icon at the bottom!

How do you toggle between the World and UK edition? I'm getting the former, but can't figure out how to get the latter, short of going to the BBC site.

It now features a simple tickertape. Enjoy!

Seconding the request for tickertape. I'd like a very minimal interface, something I can hide in a corner while still retaining functionality. Any chance of this?

I CANT GET ANY FRIKING WIDGET TO MANAGELIST TO OPERATE OR TO DO ANYTHING!!!! WHY THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????

By blasthead, # Sep 29, 2006 2:07:02 AM

Works fine for me on WinME. I would also like to see a shade/tickertape mode, as well as have the ability to set the number of headlines or choose a different BBC feed, such as Sport or Entertainment, as well as Front Page.

..And it would be nice if I could place it ANYWHERE on my screen.. seems to stay within what I guess is an SVGA sized area. Can't get it into XGA space.

By marsmonkey, # Aug 14, 2006 11:21:54 PM

I wish that this would..

a) shrink into a tiny ticker tape type thing when I want it to be small
b) have a transparancy setting if it can't be shrunk
c) let me alter what kind of news (maybe search archives) it offers me
d) let me add RSS from other sources?
e) let me listen to radio.

the latest version now saves settings

By another_user, # Jul 13, 2006 0:47:32 AM

+1 on the non-savings. Also, it would be really neat if there was a minimized version that turns it into a bar that fits and docks in a Windows title bar. It could drop down the headlines...
