Who needs Samurai when you have Vikings? This fearsome warrior will remind you of anything that needs reminding. Double-click him to configure.
He demonstrates the new window.moveTo functions in Opera 9 weekly (8455 in Windows), and he can even accept and display messages from other widgets! (Demo widget available here) Message sending no longer available due to security upgrades in latest versions of Opera 9.
jonnysaucepn: We will soon be issuing an update to the animation library with support for moveTo/moveBy/resizeTo/resizeBy, if you want to try that sometime.
Odd. One of the first things I did when writing it was make sure to detect overshoot - if a 'step' starts on the left of the target and ends up on the right, then it should automatically snap to the exact target X.
Maybe there's something else going on here - I've never seen that effect. Perhaps your PC/gfx card is faster than mine - maybe it manages to get redrawn before it gets snapped back.
There is a tiny issue with your use of moveTo: On my system, the viking never actually reaches your target coordinate, but he oversteps it by one PX, and then turns around to run back, and overstep by another pixel.
This makes the viking look like he ate something he probably shouldn't have.
Before anyone gets in first, I'll declare that I didn't create the Viking graphics - because I have no animation ability! The images currently used are from an old video game of some reknown.
If, of course, anyone wanted to help to contribute new graphics sets, I would be more than grateful....

Anyone else seeing this?
