i love this game :D
and the bug i talked about in linux: it was just temporarly. i don't get it any more.. (and im pretty sure that this widget are not to blame for the bug)

what about some highscores?
local on computer, or on internet? that would be cool!

I also have the same problem as qualbeen... Using Mandriva distro/KDE, same Opera build

Nice twist on the game!

Just awsome! The first game widget I'll actually want to play again and again!

Nice - it looks kind-of like BlockOut.

When down arrow is held to drop a piece, don't let it start dropping next one. Just one dropped piece per onkeydown please

Great idea and great implementation.

1. In usual tetris clearing several rows at once gives more scores than clearing the same number of rows one by one. I think it is fair and I would add this to Torus. For example 4 rows cleared at once can give 7 points and not 4 as it is right now.
2. A cleared row of same colour can give an extra bonus as it is quite hard to to do so.

Good luck,

Thankyou for appreciating the widget everybody, I hope it decreases workplace productivity more than my previous widget!

@ Iceardor: I know what you mean and it will be present in the next release.

@ gualbeen: I am not sure why that would happen but version 1 will have the option to pick each key so you can reassign them if they cause problems.

@ Tmchenry: I do not mean there is a visible top but a maximum height that you can allow it to reach which coinsides with where the tetriminos appear. Next version will address this issue and make it obvious where the exact limit is.

Ben...there's a top to the sphere? o.O I can't see it on linux I haven't tried your widget on windows though.

very very nice!

By babox, # May 29, 2006 9:01:20 PM

Excellent! This is amazing, and much better than bounce!
It would be a bit easier if you could include a shadow.

this widget doesnt work good with build 284 under linux (SuSE).
the problem is that the up-key and the space-buttom only workes one time.
after i have pressed the up-key once, i have to reload the widget to get that button to work agian.

i don't know who's fault: Opera 9.00 beta 2 or your widget.
(btw: the left- and right-arrow-keys works as they should)

i loved the idea of this widget! :D

Amazingly fun and addictive. I love this twist on Tetris.

Perhaps one suggestion to making it a bit easier to tell how it lines up is to have an extremely faded out or near-transparent view of what the new block formation would look like if the falling block would be dropped right there. Then as the falling block gets closer and closer to the rest of the mound of blocks, it'd become invisible (since at such a small distance away, it's much easier for the eye to judge where it's going to land, but when it's a long ways up, it's hard to judge where it's going to land).

Hopefully that made sense. If not, let me know and I'll try to explain myself again or draw a picture.
