After half an hour of playing and a record of 55 rows cleared (not to mention the accompanying hand cramp), I must say you've started quite a lovely game!
The suggestions I can think of right now:
1) Zoom level. Preferrably a button on the torus base, being able to make this widget larger would definitely be a plus!
2) Support for plug n' play USB controllers, if possible. =D
3) Ability to reverse the torus' turning direction. (A great option to add to your proposed button-config menu! =)
4) User-adjustable transparency level and color (and textures/skins, if possible) for each individual type of tetrimino.
5) Something 3D in the vertical column of empty space (and the option to turn it on/off, maybe it's vertical position too). The score would go great there (especially in 3D, maybe turning with the torus). So would a logo. Hmm, if you could make an animated picture appear there, a hologram coming from the torus would look great.
6) Mapping pause to a key in addition to the cute paw button on the torus.
7) Options to change what buttons/score/etc. appear on the torus, and where, including removing them all.
8) Ability to choose where the score appears. Even if it's
This widget is extremely well built, and has a great 3D effect. I've spent quite a lot of time on this widget, and it is the only game widget I have that I still play. I would, however, like to be able to see the top of the board, symbolized by a ring or something so I know how far I have left.
Well, technically each row is a torroid, but in a topological sense they each are a torus. I think we can agree that the topology of the board is the main revolutionary thing here right?

WOW!
I'm curious how you invented the code, an made an easy 2d to a superb 3d idea..
GREAT!
(waiting for your next version!

by the way, why did you call it "Torus"? it really doesn't have the aspect of a torus.
