I probably still do something wrong. It does not work even if i deleted link 121. Cache is deleted. Please could you upload your widget somewhere so I could download it? I am trying it to use in Opera portable 10.51- could this be the probllrm?
line 121 original was document.addEventListener("load", init, false);
comment out by adding the // at the start so: // document.addEventListener("load", init, false);
(or just delete the line, but I don't like deleting anything when I'm just patching)
Yes, to use, drop your modified zip into an empty 10.5 Opera window, and (if you've rezipped everything correctly) Opera should ask you if you want to install the widget.
Note that if you've previously tried to install the widget manually you should make sure you haven't got any existing old directories for the widget lurking in the Opera application data directory. (Check the opera:about page to check where this directory is on your machine).
Hopefully someone will sort out an official patch for this widget soon.
Hi, I tried your advice in Opera 10.51 (windows 7 64b) and it does not work. Is enough to recopy line 121 "// document.addEventListener("load", init, false);" with the slash? What do you thing by dropping to window? Do you thing drag and drop into an empty Opera window?
Since I was annoyed that this widget (and even this page!) is blocked in Opera 10.5 I decided to investigate why it wouldn't work. It seems that 10.5 doesn't like the way the javascript tries to init itself. Fortunately It turns out that the problem is very simple to fix.
Since I don't know what the protocol is to provide a patch to someone else's widget, I'll just provide the edit details here for now (only 3 lines need a small change).
First, unzip the widget file into a suitable temp directory
Then, in touchthesky.js, change line 72
old: var init = function() new: this.init = function()
line 121, comment out // document.addEventListener("load", init, false);
And in index.html
change line 43
old: <body> new: <body onload='app.init()'>
Rezip the widget, and you can load your patched widget zip file into 10.5 by simply dropping it onto a 10.5 window, Touchthesky then becomes a working 10.5 widget!
Anyway, I still miss the satellite image - this started with Opera 11 (11.01 - 1164 now) on my XP Pro, SP3. Take a look:

With some font like Meiryo, cannot see some text
(ex: "Atmospheric Conditions Now" view, wind speed).
That may be untoward effects of UserStyleSheet,
couldn't you take margin more, please.

Still prefer Firefox version of Accuweather. I like that it is always at the bottom right of my screen.
Does Opera have this feature?

Yes, right click on them - view - and there is option...
