Hi, thanks for a great widget. Can someone help me with this......I live in XXXXX, XXXXXshire, UK. When I put the town into the widget I get two results, both in the same area. Comparing them they show most often the same weather with small variations to observations and forcasts. If I go from forcast to Accuweather, the forcast is the same for both and indeed Accuweather only shows one town, not two as I get in the touchthesky widget.
How can I find out where the stations are so that I can select the closest one to were I live and why is there a difference?
I like TouchTheSky except for one mysterious problem: it seems very reluctant to get fresh weather data after the mac laptop has been asleep for a while. For example right now it is 10:20 am, and the laptop has been alive and lit up for about 15 minutes, yet the widget still has the weather dated "current time 9:13am, last update 8:53". I can't seem to find any keystroke or button press that will force it to get fresh data, so I'm looking at weather data 1.5 hours old, which around here can mean a huge difference. How can I force it to wake up and get fresh data?
I have an issue with ttsky - every time I launch Opera it comes up automatically (so far so good). However, it comes open with an error message about not being able to update. But it did update, as evidenced by the date and time I see once I close the error message. How do I fix it? (Note: just got Opera and the widget within the last week.)
I like this widget, but would find it much more useful if I was able to choose metric temperature BUT with windspeeds in MPH (there is already a choice between kph or m/s so I'm sure this could be added).
I am British and we never properly converted to metric, so we measure temp only in Celcius but speed only in MPH!
I'd like to add another request to show the actual and reelfeel temps at the same time. In places like where I am [Manitoba, Canada] the difference between actual and perceived gives a quicker and better impression of the actual weather than looking at the real temp, wind speed, et al. Great work, though!
Hi! I just love this widget, it's awesome! Very useful and good looking.
But I noticed something: my friend and I both have this widget and we were on msn one day and I told her to check the weather on Touch The Sky - she did, so did I (we were making some plans). It turns out, widget showed different temperature for her and me. At the same time (for the same place of course). And sometimes I notice it says it's, let's say, raining, and rain:
a) is not there (BUT! it starts raining after a while) b) rain stopped but widget still shows it
But I still like this widget...if only few things (mine and what other people said) could be changed, it would be perfect!
I have a problem with this widget: In the forecast tab wind speeds have a conversion problem: in US units it shows NW at 35 mph with gusts of 74 mph, while in metric units it shows NW at 15m/s OR km/h and gusts of 33 m/s OR km/h !!! (correct values from AccuWeather.com are 49km/h - 107 km/h).
@Scorpio75: I live in "Umlaut"-city, too ;-) (Mülheim) For Accuweather try "Furth" with a vocal instead of the Umlaut. For me, it works. BTW, greath widget, thx to the developer
this widget looks great, but the data i get turns out not to be correct. i live in ljubljana (slovenia) and right now there is some 6 degrees C difference between the temperature shown through the widget and the actual temperature, making the widget rather useless as a reference point. pitty!
@JolietJake1, the time data comes from Accuweather, which gets it from your local weather monitoring station. Perhaps the monitoring station hasn't changed, or hasn't uploaded data to Accuweather recently? What area are you in?
How can I find out where the stations are so that I can select the closest one to were I live and why is there a difference?
Many thanks, Wadadli4Sun

I'd like to see it remember the last places you entered, so you can flick between them easily.

Is there a way to alter the time in this as the clocks have just gone back?
Thanks
