An interactive, real-time TV guide, designed to be as unobtrusive as possible!
Update: fixed for security model of latest betas.
Current listings for UK, Norway, France and Sweden. Experimental support for the Netherlands and the Czech Republic/Slovakia, please post feedback in the Widgets Forum.
Sometimes the listings go down when I have server problems - the data is all collated and served by a machine in my cupboard, so occasionally it fails to retrieve listings without telling me.
I need to work out a way for it to tell me when it hasn't completed...
This widget is next on my list for a makeover, touchtheSky-style. Hopefully to make it as attractive and responsive.
Good idea, but i'm having a bit of a problem with my norwegian channels. The time is now 13:30, but it shows me the programs that start 23:40. I can still browse the channels, but it would of course be nice to have a list of the programs running now and not this evening.
Other than that: Keep up the good work! This is what every tv-slave needs!
A really nice little widget that I probably will use alot. One thing though: For those who haven`t had any experience with widgets previously, I think you should explain a little about how to do in the details. I am resourceful and not too afraid to try out things, so I figured out after a little while how to get listings for my country (Norway) and actually implement them to show. But there are alot of people that doesn`t dare do this, so for them it would be useful to write a short HOW-TO.
It certainly works well for me. I don't see the high CPU usage reported by some people. As Shaolin12 says, the non-allowance for BST (and presumably its equivalent outside the UK) means that I'm looking at programmes I've just missed. Once that's fixed I'll give it five stars; until then, four.
Excellent widget, unfortunately the 'Currently Showing' section shows programes which are an hour out of date (User prefs set to England) & out of sync with PC clock. The daily listings works fine. Also the update icon has stopped working, and the 'currently showing' tab would be more useful if it auto-updated at 1/2 or 1 hour intervals. Still, a very useful widget which saves wasting paper and money on Magazine listings. Top idea
Is there any way to display program logos in the listings? (like you have in the program preview image (e.g. bbc1 logo etc..)? Can't see any of these.
Having logos would help to differentiate between the listings for different channels. At the moment it's all a bit too mushed together.
