Widget must be updated for Opera 10

By VSB , # Dec 10, 2008 9:17:34 PM

Does this widget work at all ?

By dapxin , # Aug 9, 2008 9:47:33 AM

Why does the version number on this page say v1.21, but the info on the widget say v0.2?

By grinlord , # Jan 7, 2008 9:29:38 PM

This widget was very good, but it now says 'error - cannot connect to server', and has done for the last couple of weeks or so. I'm in the uk so I don't suppose that's the problem. I love your widgets, hope you get time to fix this one soon!

Thanks, Sally.

This would be cool but it says that it can't connect to the server

Hi johnnysaucepn,

This was a great widget when it worked. Hope you get it sorted.

Thanks for your superb widgets!

Cheers, Wadadli4sun

Unfortunately, this widget is badly in need of a revamp, I wrote it when I was just starting out and it doesn't handle errors particularly nicely.

The data-gathering on my server is very flaky - some services have shut down completely, others run slowly and some just suck up all the processor time on my server. If I ever rebuild and relaunch this, I need to revisit my data sources and perhaps enlist other people's help in harvesting the data and submitting it to my database on a daily basis.

Great widget, but seems the Norwegian channels are not showing up. "Error - failed to connect to server".

By BV , # Aug 15, 2007 1:59:35 PM

nice job boy your widget is really interesting. If you want the french channels logos I can send you them.

By thomas_france , # Aug 11, 2007 6:48:33 PM

Now it's working. Perhaps some source page was not working and it blocked the widget entirely. On the other side czech and slovak, and norway tv stations aren't working now.

By Brano2 , # Aug 1, 2007 3:53:33 PM

It's not working. I have opera 9.22, enabled flash and javascript, other widgets are working good. I see the widget, but buttons are dead. Nothing happens at all, are there some special requirements to run this widget?

Or it's problem with the new opera?

, only just realised this myself - it's been a long time since I've used the widget myself!

The server's fine, but it looks like a UBuntu upgrade laid it low. I'm trying to fix that now.

By johnnysaucepn , # Mar 19, 2007 5:14:35 PM

It doesn't seem to work for me any more. Is the server you're getting the listings from down or changed?

By MossMan , # Mar 2, 2007 12:35:46 PM

, I need to rewrite this to present the results more attractively. This was my first original widget, and I've learned a lot since then!

The original rationale was to save space as much as possible, there's probably more sophisticated ways to do it. Also, not all country listings have appropriate logos, so I'd have to treat them differently.
