Small simple widget to display pandora radio. shadowk added window-shading and title updating! d.i.z. added a connect button, fixed the issue on initial minimizing, and corrected the validation problems!
Updated for player version 7.200 on 7/27. Also, major thanks to Tommy O from Opera for giving hints on getting it working in the latest builds and tobs999 for the Ajax call to get the current player version!
People don't seem to be reading the comments, so I'll restate things here.
1) I cannot do anything about the transparency until Opera officially supports flash in widgets. I have been told this will happen, but no timeline.
2) This just uses the current Pandora player. I cannot make a new improved skin for the player until Pandora releases a full API. They have assured me this will happen, but no timeline.
OOPS!!! It seems I made a slight error in my last comment concerning it not useing much cpu system resources (just checked my taskmanager) it's useing between 53%-98% of my cpu...but still yet am functioning well enough for browsing and utilizeing my system resources just fine.
Another thing I like about this program (Yes it's me again LOL) is that you can listen to your music and still be able to use system resources and browse without too much trouble with system cpu usage.
My first expression after typeing in robin marks and the music began playing and now one after the other by him (christian music) ...my expression was whoa! cool! This sure works well for me ... thanks for doing such a good job. 1. I have adobe flash player 2. I have save flash 15 day trial but just uninstall/reinstall every 15 days (fully functional) the save flash is an icon in the explorer bar and can cache to retrieve your flashes to save the files from youtube etc. Thought this might be a help to those that were having problems to fix issues they may have been having.
If you get that register problem, just go to the pandora website (pandora.com) and register there. Then just open up the widget as normal, and all your setting will be there.
This widget has improved drastically over the last 6 months, and is finally useable again (the first couple versions were very usable, but then after O 9 became official, this widget was functionally useless for a long time). Disappointed that the volume slider doesn't work, only selects FULL or OFF.
I have trouble adjusting the sound within the widget. Moving the sound slider moves the widget too. It's very difficult to get the sound slider to move. Otherwise, I really like it, as I used Pandora in Firefox and I.E.
I agree with Baphijmm. Pandora does not work very well with the flash player. You get a few songs if your lucky and sometimes Pandora just does not load. I get some message to the effect that "It is taking longer than expected to figure out the right song blah blah". I've given up on Pandora. Now I do not think I have enough Ram which may be my issue. I am using a ten year old lap top. I don't know much about computers, but I did read on Pandora that so much Ram was needed. But, I think when I e-mailed them that wasn't the issue, because Pandora said that the problem is that Pandora is asking the flash player to think about to much of something or another -or something like that and they were trying to work something out with the flash player folks. I think the Ram issue comes in when the sound is choppy. Take Care
I would love this widget if Flash actually worked in Opera with any sort of consistency; unfortunately, if that were the case, it would probably just be easier to flat-out go to the site. My experience has been exactly the same as himesji's, word-for-word.
What's the solution for the skipping that I experience in Pandora, whether using the widget or launching the page directly. I run Dapper on a Thinkpad. I have Opera's latest version, plus Flash 9. Pandora runs fine in Firefox, but skips on Opera when open or close tabs, or launch links. Sometimes it skips even without launches.
Unless the skipping can be fixed, it's better just to run Pandora in Firefox, and browse in Opera.
The widget seems very buggy - freezes, crashes, rejects log in, calls up a Flash window. Not a particularly good user experience.

It is the ONLY reason to use Opera Widgets, IMO.
