bleicher:
- all day events are very good idea, it will be add soon,
- custom time, added to our tasks,

One way to add parallel task right now is to create first one, seconds one above it and move it next to that first one. Events should be displayed with 50% width.
We are also thinking about changing categories to calendars. So if you import data from some .ics file it will be added as new calendar and you can mark off checkbox for this cal and events from it will be hidden.

bleicher:
- central repository - good idea, we will think about it,
- more customizable reminders will be added,
- movable dialogs - very good idea, added to our todo list,
- 15 minutes events will be added, we are working on that but we didn't have time to add this to alpha release,
- "pushable" tasks - we are thinking about some kind of todo list. Where you can check task as done or not.

We are also looking at some integration with M2 and other email clients.

freerider:
- comment to events will be added,
- what do you mean by task manager? Task not assigned to particular day. You can check this as done or not? Like todo list?
- how box for day goals should behave? sth like agenda?ordered list or events for current day without timeline?

kyleabaker: I will investigate this bug with changing the view mode. Which version of Opera are you using? Sync with Google Calendar and importing/exporting data from iCalendar files is one of our priority. It will be definitely added.

Great! Just what I was looking for!
It's the only thing I needed a third-party app by now.

Handling is quite good for the alpha.

An integration in M2 (e.g. for Outlook-like meeting requests) in combination with Opera Link would definitely be cool.

Many thanks so far!

btw - custom time for the event would be nice too - the only way to set time is just not ok - eg i cant edd event if its parallel to another - as clicking on it would just highlight it instead creating new

and thats another wish - "all day events" should not be shown "as normal" - same for very long events - eg 8-17 barbecue by neighbor doenst mean i cant have 10 more events inbetween

By bleicher , # May 28, 2010 9:15:22 PM

some kind "central backup" (like OperaLink) would be nice - like UniteApp or similar , so one could use same Oranizer everywhere

and "yearly events" for birthdays etc  with HUUUGE and loud reminder week before.
remind 1hour before is not enough too - sometimes one needs more - any way custom values could be used optionally (like combo-box for input)?

make dialogs movable - sometimes decisions depend on other scheduled events, and one could want to check its duration again - not nice if its just under the dialog

and why is "category" required for new events? shouldnt be - forces to use sensless "other" category

any way "pulling" of the event can be more precise? 30min is to much - how about 15?

and of course more options - duration of the day, week vew etc.

would be nice to have "pushable" tasks - something that stays "in view" until i have cfhecked it - its often so that one doesnt makes it in time and forgets it the next days - would be better if those tasks would be shown "till done"

P.S: btw its nice to see, that structure of js of my widget was somewhat identical to this one^^ means i am not that bad at coding after all  init methods, helpers.js ^^

By bleicher , # May 28, 2010 9:12:04 PM

finally some calendar...

I WOULD DEFINITELY ADD SOME INTEGRATION WITH M2 CLIENT, so opera will become powerful productivity tool

By freerider , # May 28, 2010 7:17:33 PM

google sync definitely
task manager
adding task and priorities
comment to events
have box for day goals

Seems to work well, but the different views didn't switch smoothly the first couple of times and seemed to ignore my clicks. They work fine now though. The only thing that would stop me from using this is the lack of ability to sync with Google Calendar (and maybe others), import and export. Other than that I'm impressed and it looks great too!
