Google Translator

Google Translator, Opera application V2.3 Oct 10, 2009 2:06:47 PM

Translates the text and web pages using Google Translate API.

Unfortunately this widget is no longer actual, because Google has closed their Translate API.

Opera Versions and Widget Versions:



Widget Features:
  • translate text or web page;
  • resizing widget window;
  • autodetecting language;
  • automatic text translation;
  • custom font family and font size in text fields;
  • custom position of lists of languages (top, middle, bottom);
  • you can specify the languages, that will be displayed in the drop-down lists;
  • hot keys;
  • automatic addition of new languages that Google will begin to support.

silentator, remove the widget, then go to a folder something like this (for WinXP): C:/Documents and Settings/<username>/Application Data/Opera/, find there a folder something like "Widget Google Translator" and remove it.

And then reinstall the widget.

With Opera 11 there only apears a white rectangle instead of the widged. Checked 2.8, 2.7, and 2.4 with Linux and WinXP - all the same.

POLYAKdim, второе поле не выделяется только в случае, если активирована функция автоперевода, потому что эти две функции несовместимы.

А автоматическое сохранение в буфер сделать невозможно.

Отлично! Наконец-то работающий на 11й опере переводчик.
Спасибо.
Только не выделяется после перевода второе поле. Хотя, по сути, есть желание автоматического сохранения переведенного текста в буфер обмена.

wadimtrojan, знаю, что не работает. Виной этому Опера 11. Решение пока не найдено.

After the opera11 update it wont work, i am sure the builder will fix this AND i hope he will also fix the "Error Translating" bug. Not only i got this meassage very often. Without this faults: a great tool, thanks for your work Dimoxter!

I never think about how much I rely on this widget while exploring my.opera. I'm able to easily read what others are posting in other languages. Without it under Opera 11 I feel blind.

I know it's just a matter of time before this minor issue is fixed. Thank you for opening up so much of the world for me.

With Opera 11 (b1111) doesn't work. It gives only an empty space. I can see, that other did detect this problem, too.

please add a direct link to google translate, so at least when you finish writing my text and get the result "Error Translating", i still can access the web service
