You see the note, widget give you a time to remember which is this note, after that shows you Answer. More fit to learn than show both question and answer in the same time. Now with speed adjusting!
I love this widget. Now I can refresh my sight reading of notes while at computer after many years of not playing. Might even encourage me to play music again more often. What a fun little widget. Can even enlarge the widget ... all the better for my eyesight with the "forget the name" notes above and below the staff. Haven't watched it enough to see how many octaves are included.
I agree with Chaucerchris, i learn better through various ways. Though i shall be grateful for all the time and effort you put into the widget. Another hint, would be to have a setting where the note change speed is variable to the consumers needs. I already know where the notes go and what they are called, though i presume this is tailored for newbies and at the speed it is going they will never have a chance of learning! cheers, lukebernard
This Widget would have been more useful if you could hear the notes being played, but you can't so I don't see how it can be of any real use except for remembering where on the notes are on music staff.
Our brains use more than one modality when learning and remembering information besides sight it also use auditory memory; sound.
