Last.fm Explorer V1.2 Aug 21, 2008 9:36:38 AM

Finds relevant artists and displays relationships in a dynamic map.

This widget will find related artists to the artist you enter, and display a map of the relationship between the artists. You can click any of the artists in the map to center that artist.

The description and image of the centered artist is provided at the bottom of the widget.

There is a checkbox called "Obscure mode". This will pick the least related artist (that are still related) in stead of the most related artists when building the artist tree.

Please note that the animations are very demanding on the computer. They may be jerky on older computers.

There is still many things that could be added/improved. But I'll let your feedback decide.

Oh, my! A great widget indeed. If only it could play the music from Last.fm when you click an artist.

This widget is FANTASTIC!!! I happened to find it while trying out Opera 9.51 about a week after you released it, and I've really enjoyed tinkering with it! Thank you!!!

...but I also use Opera 9.27 most of the time (because of some features that don't work the way I want in v9.51), and I searched for this widget using v9.27 several times & couldn't find it. :frown: I finally got to thinking maybe it had been withdrawn and I had just been lucky enough to download it before it disappeared. But I also couldn't get my download to install in v9.27, so I was really disappointed :frown:...

...but, I finally ran across a message that indicated it had not been approved/allowed, either by the Widgets Team or the Author, for my version of Opera (9.27). (Thus, I learned that Opera will only show widgets approved for the version of Opera one is currently using to search for widgets.)

So I'm requesting that it be released for v9.27 (and other versions) unless there is a technical reason it cannot work on those earlier versions. And if it can't be released for earlier versions, I'd appreciate a response back explaining the issues.

Thanks again!

Does'nt work here: causes opera to crash and close. Window is displayed but graphics are wrong or incomplete, only the bottom right of the page seems to be displayed.
