Tell the world what you are up to!

Twitter is a global community of friends and strangers answering one simple question: What are you doing?

This widget that lets you post new "tweets", follow your friends and see their replies on Twitter.

Note: Passwords are stored base 64 encoded.

Version history:
2.0 RC1 - Search, find tweets from people nearby, hashtag support, lots of bugfixes and some cosmetic issues fixed.
2.0 beta - New look, widget is resizable, one time login and lots of other changes.
1.6 - Ctrl-Enter submits tweet. Better error handling. Bug fixes.
1.5 - Lots of small changes.
1.4 - Password is stored.
1.3 - Active tab is remembered between sessions.
1.2 - Styling changes to better reflect the site.
1.1 - Improved login.
1.0 - Release.

Hey moirob.

I'm the developer of the widget so I can answer your questions

First off, yes, the latest tweet is chopped to prevent it from overflowing the top part, so this is intentional.
And yes, the public timeline was removed in this widget, mostly to make the interface less crowded. Most people only follow their friends anyway. If there's a huge demand for it, that feature might be re-introdiced.

BTW, the final version of 2.0 is probably coming out next week, so stay tuned. It has some new features.

Ah thanks for that hzr. I noticed they had a auto update but I was trying to find a easier way of manually updating instead of refreshing the whole widget.

Also Has anyone else noticed that with using the newest version of this widget, after posting quite a lengthy tweet that the whole comment doesn't show up properly in the top bar near the avatar?
The tweet shows up fine on twitter.com and also in my archives. It's just on the top bar it is cropped. Even if I resize the widget it is still cropped.

starenka: it might be this bug that you saw: http://code.google.com/p/twitter-api/issues/detail?id=24
It's supposed to be fixed, but it still shows up now and then.

2starenka: It seems to be widget bug, as after widget reloading it works fine. Possible update task fails by some reason and becomes zombie 'updating' status.
