A simple widget that provides very useful tools and information to travelers.

Things that you can find about place you are going to:
-- Find its road map
-- Get updated weather report
-- See local photos

Must haves tools for a traveler:
-- Flight booking
-- Currency converter (With Live Updates)
-- World time (DST supported)

Coming soon..
-- Find hotels, hospitals and important places on road map.
-- Ability to view temperature in Celsius
-- Hotel reservation
-- Automatic selection of currency in conversion tool
-- Ability to add more cities in world clock
(currently shows time for places you are traveling from and to)

@reisenderpro: Thanks for appreciating, if you would click a photo in the list then it opens a bigger size inside the widget itself and as for the map there are zooming/navigation controls to help you use it efficiently. If you wish to see more detailed photos or maps then I will suggest you to use flickr or google maps website directly.

The purpose of the widget is to provide quick information to travelers with high performance.

The map and the photos are to small. For an impression of London the photos do not really show what I expected. But it´s a nice and handy widget.

@Jakob: your suggestion is really cool and I think that there deserves to be another widget for that and as far as I can recall there is. Try searching and I am sure you can find something what u are looking for.

Thinking about it. Why not, rather than find flights, check on existing flights?

Will I arrive in time, is my flight on time, are there any known strike or news about my destination. Very interesting if you are travelling to Paris or Rome for instance.

Anyways, Flights doesn't work all-together.

Hey, looks like a great widget. Have some problems getting flights though. Perhaps there are some limitations, like flights from Europe to the US?

Great widget!

I have a suggestion though, in all Europe and some other places, we count in kilometers and in celsius for the temperature. Could you add an option for switching to this mesurements? I'm afrais otherwise some peple won't understand anything

@toothman1: Repeating my self, Travel Mate uses flickr tagged images for photos feature and I am already working on getting better results.

As far as flight results are concerned, currently if any wrong information is provided or not provided then it shows that "Error: Unable to get results..", in the next release I have made a proper validation library(ready to be integrated) for every user input in widget that will also replace all existing validations.

And for the map, there are navigation controls available along with zooming features. The map can also be clicked and dragged.

I am also considering an option for allowing user to view widget in small and large size but then I am yet not sure about it.

At times, the photos do not work, and the flights requests do not function. The map is too small to be of any use.

hmmm, all that i can say is that it's nicely designed utility having no fuss and all the right stuff that any travel-o-holic would ever need (like me !).

PS: hope you could definately do something about the UI.

@investor: I have not tested it on mobile yet, may be I can do it if I will win a windows mobile here

As far as the images are concerned I am using Flickr api for getting the images which are tagged by other users.

Similar results would be found if you will try to search for it on their website as well. I am working on making it better and more logical.
