Enjoy online videos

With this widget you can search for online videos from Google, YouTube and Metacafe, etc. Widget displays rating, author, download links and some other info.

release 1.5:
- Fixed to work in latest Opera versions,
- Now widget find videos using only Google search.

release 1.4a:
- Removed Youtube - now Google finds also youtube videos.
- Some funcionality may not work (with videos from sites like yahoo, myspace, etc.)

release 1.3a:
- Browsing through results
- "Check for updates" button
- Bugfixes

release 1.2c:
- Bugfix release (Google)

release 1.2b:
- Added interia.pl
- Bugfixes and code cleanups

release 1.1b:
- Added myvideo.de
- Playing videos inside widget is now possible
- Ability to set order of search results
- Close buttons on panels + faster animations
- Some code cleanups and bugfixes

NOTE: Due to flash issues, playing videos inside widget is disabled by default (each video is played in new Opera tab). Icons in widget are Tango project icons. Widget skin is from great "Touch the sky" widget. Downloading is realised via keepvid.com.

johnnysaucepn, In this version problem with empty (or cointaining only spaces) search string has been fixed

Update checker is not yet finished, if new version is available, hitting the button will open this page.

Grapics in your widgets are simply great

Viewing in the widget works fine for me - O9.10 Windows.

I did accidentally freeze the widget by hitting the submit button without anything in the search box - not important, but thought you should know!

Oh, and can I compliment you on your excellent taste in graphics?

gautam_chandna, I've already tried wmode=transparent, and it didn't worked. Maybe there is something wrong with my flash

It still works for me only on linux.

Strife767, I have no idea how to display results in better way - colums are good, but widget is not so wide :/

Nice. Personally, I prefer the rollup/down animation over the fade in/out, but if you keep it, I would recommend speeding it up. It took several seconds, which is a little too long IMO.

Until/unless Opera implements my (at least, I don't _think_ anyone's brought it up before) nested search ability (http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=152021), widgets like this are the next best thing (except that the 'group' is static). This sort of combined search (except I wouldn't mind giving searches their own tab (helps with unorthodox combinations)) is basically the kind of thing I was talking about.

The only (unresolvable?) issue with this widget is that the Google videos are always first, then youtube, then metacafe. Now that I think of it, maybe a way to resolve it would be to display the results in a 3-column table, with each site getting its own column. That way you could easily see each site's top results, etc.

To play flash videos inside a widget you would just need to add <param name="wmode" value="transparent"/> in your object tag
