This widget will keep track of all the widgets you want to keep track of. This widget will tell you the widgets Version and the Downloads to date.

All you need is the widget ID number and this widget will take care of the rest! What is the widget ID number well I am glad that you asked, if you go to the page of the said widget, in the address bar / url there will be 4 numbers at the end of the string (usually, this my change once Opera surpass this but either way) the numbers trailing are the Widget Id Number. so if the address bar reads: http://widgets.opera.com/widget/5373 (* puzzle Creator widget by ZONG) the widget ID is 5373.

Since the new widget site changes, it doesn't work any more

As long as it shows the currently installed version number, & the updated version, I'd be happy.

As for showing the amount of downloads, sorry but why should I care ?
I can see the use for tracking your own widgets, but otherwise for most users, this is a waste of GUI space.

Nice job, no cigar. . . yet ;-)
Looking forward to the next version.

i will be adjusting this widget in the extreme near future hopefully by tuesday but I will be adding and custimizing this widget further and creating a notifier as well

Mystik worry not about that last statement V1.01 should not have any distortion from obtaining the widget information. Thanks again for the note for the notifier not sure about creating a sound but I can Hight Light it!

Opera really should add 'properties' to the widget. You know, right click and the version and date show up. Also a link to the widgets page here.

Anyway, great widget.

I'm not quiet sure to have understood your last sentence:

And for the notifier, is it a possible option that will come in a near future?

But - oh, it doesn't work well, the window is very small and I cannot see any text, only buttons... Opera 9.02, Windows XP, 1280x1024.

Due to the fact that http://widgets.opera.com/widget/4787 widget was uploaded with incomplete fields is the reason why your image version is a travisty! Also because of this fact that said widget is incapable of displaying version on my widget. I will how ever adjust this widget later on this week to accomedate selection of view that you the user would like, be it download, version, comments or ratings. But please if you notice a widget with the said field above missing will alter this widget.

Good one, though I'm experiencing problems: the widget doesn't look at all like yours! (i'm on Windows, Opera 9.02)

This is the page I get, and even, when in small, all the page is displayed and not only the number of download and the version.

Suggestion: maybe a checker that make a sound or the widget take focus when a new version is detected? (Most of people don't care of the number of download)
